Sony has officially confirmed the return of its iconic first person shooter, Killzone, to PlayStation 3. Killzone 3 is set to be an explosive cinematic experience more intense than ever before. Loaded with more vehicles, explosive high powered weapons and a vicious close-combat system, resume the fight against a remorseless Helghast Army of colossal proportions.
Gran Turismo 5 Release Announcement at E3?
After the delay to the release of Gran Turismo 5 back in March, a final release date was never revealed. With E3 just weeks away, a new “final” release date may be announced at Sony’s Press Conference. In the last update, Gran Turismo 5 was still in development but a unconfirmed September release date was revealed by some retailers.
PS3 Games Getting Free 3D Patches
CVG has learned that several PlayStation 3 titles will be getting free patches to upgrade them to 3D. The 3D patch launches this summer – rumored for a June release, and four games will be update to support 3D from launch. The four titles, WipEout HD, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, SuperStardust HD and PAIN, will also come free with Sony’s 3D Bravia televisions.
Super Street Fighter IV Patch Coming Mid-June
Super Street Fighter IV will be getting patched soon according to Capcom. A patch is currently being prepped to fix several issues and various exploits in the game. The patch is scheduled for release on June 15th for both the PS3 and Xbox 360, which is the same day the free Tournament Mode DLC will be available.
First Details of Killzone 3 Revealed
Details of Guerilla Game’s next shooter in the Killzone franchise have been revealed. The latest issue of GamePro Magazine has the first details on Killzone 3 along with photos of the upcoming game. The details from the magazine were posted online on the GameSpot forums (see below). One thing is for sure: Killzone 3 will be in full 3D.

FirstPlay Gets 4 Free Minis Over 4 Weeks
Over the next four weeks, FirstPlay will feature a different free Minis title in each episode. Starting with Episode 007, which is out now, you will be able to download Echoes free. The four minis are worth £12.96 altogether and can be downloaded by purchasing each episode separately or subscribing.
Red Dead Redemption Sells 550,000 Copies on Day One
Preliminary sales data for Red Dead Redemption indicated that the title as sole around 550,000 units in the US on day one. The game is now also available in Europe which could break sales for the title past the one million mark. VGChartz estimates worldwide week one sales of around 1.2 – 1.3 million units, making it another fast selling game in 2010.

Final Fantasy IX Now Available In Japan
Final Fantasy IX is now available on the Japanese PlayStation Store as a PSOne classic title, compatible with both the PS3 and PSP. The title costs ¥1,500 (approx $16 / £12) to purchase, and need 1.5GB of space on your hard drive or memory stick. The US version of the game will be available “soon”.
