At Sony’s E3 2010 Press Conference, the first trailer for inFamous 2 was shown off to the public. In inFAMOUS 2, Cole starts out as a full on superhero and only gets more and more powerful. It’s more visceral, brutal and personal experience that commands you attention, making you feel the part of the superhero in every decision you make… be it for good or evil. After much delay, Sony has finally revealed the new release date of Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 5. During Sony’s E3 2010 Press Conference, new footage was shown and Sony confirmed that the game will be fully playable in 3D. The release date has been confirmed for November 2010.
In 2002, EA introduced the world to Medal of Honor Frontline, a groundbreaking game and massive hit. The game starred a courageous young soldier, Lt. Jimmy Patterson, who fought arm-in-arm with his brothers on the German frontline during WWII. Today, Electronic Arts Inc. announced a special edition of Medal of Honor exclusive for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system that will include the classic, Medal of Honor Frontline.
At Sony’s E3 2010 Press Conference, Visceral Games, a studio of Electronic Arts Inc. has announced that an exclusive Limited Edition of Dead Space 2 will be released on the PlayStation 3. The Limited Edition will include the award-winning Dead Space Extraction, the prequel to the entire Dead Space saga, now featuring support for the PlayStation Move motion controller.
At Sony’s E3 Press Conference, Jack Tretton officially announced PlayStation Plus, the premium subscription service for the PlayStation Network. The service will build on top of the existing free service, offering gamers exclusive content, early access to demos, automatic download of demos and game related content and more.
Episode 11 of FirstPlay hits the PlayStation Store tomorrow. The best new about the new episode is subscribers will be able to download a exclusive Backbreaker demo, the new American Football title from NaturalMotion. The demo will be available exclusively with FirstPlay for a limited time. The episode also features HD reviews of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and International Cricket 2010.
Ubisoft has finally announced the long-awaited reboot of the popular Driver series, Driver: San Francisco, and released the first trailer (see below). Developed by Ubisoft Reflections under the direction of the original titles creators, the game promises to revitalize the classic free-roaming franchise to the current generation with a groundbreaking new gameplay feature called “shift”.
In EA’s E3 2010 Press Conference, the company announced a new DLC pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Gamers will be heading to the harsh Vietnamese jungle this Winter with four new maps playable in classic Battlefield modes including Conquest and Rush.
Sony will be publishing daily PlayStation Store updates through E3 this week, until Thursday 17th. You can already find the NCAA Football 11 PS3 Demo from Electronic Arts in the dedicated E3 2010 category under New Releases. Sony will still be updating the store as usual later today, including the release of Final Fantasy IX.
Unlike last year, we will not be live blogging Sony’s Press Conference. Frankly, we don’t see the point seeing as half the gaming community will be doing it for us.
