The SOCOM 4 PlayStation Plus beta can now be downloaded from the PlayStation Store. The beta runs from March 23rd to March 28th 2011, with each day offering something different. Check out the game schedule and match types for the beta below.
The PS3 is leading the way when it comes to 3D content and games, and 2011 is looking even more exciting. By the end of the year, there will be around 30 stereoscopic 3D games on the PS3, including favorites such as Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, among many others.
Some games just more and more as the years go by – and Super Stardust HD is one of them. It’s been almost 4 years since the title was first released on the PS3 and once again the game is getting new content to breathe life back into the game. The DLC pack is called the “Impact” mode and will be available to download at the end of the month.

On the US PlayStation Store you can find exciting new movies like The Fighter, exploring the remarkable rise of lightweight champion “Irish” Micky Ward., staring Mark Wahlberg. You can also find Hearafter, a fantasy drama that centers on three people who are haunted by mortality in different, but intersecting ways, starring Matt Damon.
This week on the PSP Comic Store you can find Batman Black & White, recapturing the classic spirit of black & white comic book storytelling. IDW’s brilliant Infestation series continues with Infestation: Transformers #2. You can also find other new comics including Due Digital Ninja Town, Grimm Fairy Tales, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Silent Hill, Dungeons & Dragons and many more.
Heavy Rain and God of War III are just two of the PlayStation 3 exclusives that have been lauded by critics and loved by you, the PlayStation fans, in the last year. Both can now add recognition from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) to their list of accomplishments.
Yes – like the PS3, the PS Vita supports trophies with compatible games. Some games even include the coveted Platinum trophy. Trophies can be synched to the PSN, and you can view or compare PS Vita trophies on a PS3.
Information about trophies you have earned is saved on the PS Vita system. You can only earn trophies on the first PS Vita system that you start a game on. You cannot earn trophies for that game on other PS Vita systems. If you sign up for PlayStation Network, you can save information about the trophies you have earned on PlayStation Network servers. When you play the game on a different PS Vita system, if you sign up for the same PlayStation Network account, you can earn additional trophies on that system.
You can save trophies for up to 100 games on your PS Vita system, but if you sync your trophies with the PlayStation Network, you can save a lot more trophies.
