Sony has provided yet another update on the recent PlayStation Network downtime. This time, it’s really bad news for anyone who uses the service. Between April 17 and April 19, 2011, Sony discovered that certain PlayStation Network and Qriocity service user account information was compromised in connection with an illegal and unauthorized intrusion on network.

Two PlayStation Certified Tablets Revealed in Video

Sony is looking to release two PlayStation certified tablets, names S1 and S2. According to the video below, the S1 looks like a iPad rival with very similar design, a 9.4 inch screen and a Tegra 2 CPU. The S2 looks more like a Nintendo DS rival with two 5.5 inch touchscreen panels and a 1024×480 display.

It’s been 7 days now since the PSN went offline, causing frustration for a lot of gamers. Sony released another update on the situation earlier, but its still bad news for gamers. As you may know, the PSN services have been down for the past few days now meaning no online gaming over the Easter weekend. Sony have released an update on the issue, indicating its a problem with the network infrastructure. Sony are working around the clock to restore service, but it could be a few more days before the PSN is up again.
PSN Shutdown After “External Intrusion”

The PlayStation Network has been down since Wednesday, for what seems like some unscheduled maintenance work. However, it now turned out that the PSN was hacked so Sony took measures to protect the network by shutting it down to investigate the intrusion. Sony has today released an official statement about the downtime.
