EA’s FIFA ’12 has become the biggest release in the history of sports games and the number one videogame launch of the year so far. According to the recent figures gathered by the company, since its September 27 release, FIFA 12 has so far sold an estimated 3.2 million units across all consoles worldwide, “making it the biggest launch in the history of sports videogames and the biggest videogame launch of 2011 to date.”

Gran Turismo 5 is getting a massive update to the game. Yamauchi-san and the Polyphony team have been closely monitoring the feedback of the dedicated and discerning GT5 community. As a result of this, we have seen significant support for GT5 in the form of regular functionality updates.
It’s a new month, and a new batch of PlayStation Plus content is available today on the European PlayStation Store, with the suitably Halloween-inspired Costume Quest available at no cost to subscribers for the next two weeks. The original Crysis title hits the PlayStation Store in North America today, followed by Europe tomorrow. The game has been remastered for the PlayStation 3 making use of fully deferred lighting, a PS3-specific rendering pipeline and SPU-enhanced physics code, together with more efficient memory layouts and more intelligent algorithms.
