Sony has confirmed that The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy has now gone gold and been delivered for manufacturing. The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy will be released on Wednesday 27th June across Europe,Thursday 28th June in Australia and New Zealand, and Friday 29th June in the UK and Ireland.
PlayStation Network and Store Offline
The PlayStation Network appears to be currently down, despite no scheduled downtime today. Sony are aware of the issue, however, and posted the following tweet on the official PlayStation account: “PSN and Stores are currently unavailable. We’ll let you know as soon as they’re back online.”
Top PSN Sellers for May 2012
The Walking Dead made a big impression on PSN players this month, with the first episode of Telltale Games’ episode zombie series claiming the top spot in May. Mortal Kombat has taken the top stop in the PS Vita top sellers list.

Get yourself in PlayStation Home to get a beta code for Dust 514. Head over to The Event Horizon Lounge and follow the instructions here. It is found directly on the Navigator (once in Home, hit Start > Navigator > New and Recommended > The Event Horizon Lounge) and talk to the bartender for instructions.

Expendables 2 Game Outed By Australian Classification Board
The Australian Classification Board have rated an ‘Expendables 2’ game which will be published by Ubisoft, giving the game a ‘MA 15+ Restricted’ rating due to the strong violence in the game. It’s unclear which platforms the game will be available on, but the rating did mention an online component to the game.
Sony Bosses Are Turning Down Bonuses
Something that is very unheard of in the UK is top executives turning down bonuses if the company they run fail to meet targets or yield a profit. Whereas in Japan, Sony bosses, including Sir Howard Stringer and Sony President, Kazuo Hirai, are turning down they bonus to help the company through troubled times.

Will Sony Launch a New Super Slim PlayStation 3?
Sony first announced the Slim PS3 back in August 2009 at German trade show Gamescom. It is 32% smaller, 36% lighter and consumes 34% less power that the previous model. That was three years ago with the PS3 now being 6 years old. Gamescom is just around the corner, so could Sony be planning to release a even thinner PS3 Slim console?
