Gamecom is the next biggest game’s expo after E3, so it’s strange that Microsoft and Nintendo have declined to attend this year. However, Sony and most games publishers will be attending as usual, according to Joystiq. The expo attracted over over 275,000 attendees last year, so it’s a big opportunity for console makers to show off upcoming games.
Following on from the Final Fantasy XIV Interview we posted earlier this week, fans of Final Fantasy will be happy to know that the blog post has been updated with a mention of a public beta for the game. It now appears that the game itself won’t be launch this winter, but a beta will instead.
Two new gameplay trailers for God of War: Ascension have been released showing off the games single-player and multiplayer modes. These two videos show more action and gameplay than the E3 trailer released last week. Check both videos out below.

With the Starhawk Uplink app you can easily check out detailed player and clan stats, while staying current on the all of the latest Starhawk announcements and community news/events, all on the go, anytime, anywhere.
Sony has confirmed that The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy has now gone gold and been delivered for manufacturing. The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy will be released on Wednesday 27th June across Europe,Thursday 28th June in Australia and New Zealand, and Friday 29th June in the UK and Ireland.
The PlayStation Network appears to be currently down, despite no scheduled downtime today. Sony are aware of the issue, however, and posted the following tweet on the official PlayStation account: “PSN and Stores are currently unavailable. We’ll let you know as soon as they’re back online.”
The Walking Dead made a big impression on PSN players this month, with the first episode of Telltale Games’ episode zombie series claiming the top spot in May. Mortal Kombat has taken the top stop in the PS Vita top sellers list.
