Sony and SuperBot has revealed that Konami’s Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series will join the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale roster. The new character will be officially reveal at The Penny Arcade Expo (also known as PAX) in Seattle, which takes place from August 31st until September 2nd, and confirms the previous leaked information.
PlayStation Plus members in Europe now have access to the Ratchet & Clank: QForce public beta. The beta client can be downloaded from the PlayStation Store and gives players access to a tutorial mode and limited competitive multiplayer modes.
SuperBot and SCEE will be opening up PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale to the public in September, but for a limited time only. The beta test will be across both the PS3 and PS Vita between September 11th and September 18th 2012. The beta is opt-in, so you will need to sign-up for a chance to get access before the game is released.
New PS3 games are available on the European PlayStation Store this week. Gamers can also find the PES 2013 playable demo, new DLC content and a selection of new themes, avatars, wallpapers and more. Unfortunately, there is no new PS Vita or PSP content this week, except for the PSOne Classic titles for the Vita.
San Diego Studio has revealed that PlayStation Move title, Sports Champions 2, will be released in PAL regions in October 2012. In about two months, gamers will be able to enjoy sports new to the series, including Skiing, Boxing, Tennis, Golf, Bowling and Archery.
Tomorrow, August 30th, PlayStation Home opens its doors to its first RPG, Mercia: Fractured Realms, which will be free to play. Players can choose between three character classes, and customise their armour, weapons, and spells to suit their style.
Next month, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting 1GB of online cloud storage, new games in the Instant Game Collection, and discounts on titles too. Borderlands will be added to the Instant Games Collection on September 4th 2012, with 50% off all DLC for the title.
New PS3 and PSN games have been added to the PlayStation Store this week in North America. You can also find new DLC content for games, including Max Payne 3 and Mass Effect 3. New avatars, wallpapers, themes, videos and other content is available too this week.
SuperBot and Sony have announced that Evil Cole from Sucker Punch’s inFamous is joining the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale roster. Evil Cole harnesses the powers of both electrokinesis and pyrokinesis in battle, offering a style more ruthless in nature than his moral counterpart, Cole MacGrath.
Telltale Games have released a new trailer for The Walking Dead Episode 3, dubbed “Long Road Ahead”. The third episode in the series will release across most platforms this week, although the European PSN date is still pending, and may see a later release date, as was the case with the last episode.
