Lots of new PS3, PSN and PS Vita games have been added to the North American PlayStation Store this week. You can also find a number of new Apps, PlayStation Plus content and a selection of new videos, DLC and more.
Square Enix Unveil TGS 2012 Games Line-Up
Publisher Square-Enix has revealed it’s games line-up for the Tokyo Game Show, which will take place later this month. Titles like Final Fantasy XIV, Call of Duty Black Ops II and Hitman Absolution will headlining the publisher’s line-up. Unfortunately, there are no mentions of any PS Vita titles on the list, but maybe we can expect a few announcements at the event.
Plants vs. Zombies Table for Zen Pinball 2 Releasing Today
Zen and PopCap has been working together to bring Plants vs. Zombies to Zen Pinball in the form of a themed table. The table will be releasing later today on the PlayStation Store for the PS3 and PS Vita, and to celebrate, the team have released a trailer for the new table (see below).
EU PlayStation Plus Update for September 2012
As announced at Gamescom last month, Rockstar’s epic open world Western adventure Red Dead Redemption joins the Instant Game Collection later today in Europe. Then, on September 12th yet more games join the collection to keep you entertained until next month.
Retro Games Sale Starts in Europe Tomorrow
To celebrate the release of Firmware v1.80 on the PS Vita, SCEE has discounted many PSOne classics for you to enjoy on your PS3 or PS Vita. But that’s not all – Sony has also added PS3 games, PS3 DLC, minis titles and a PS Vita title to the sale. The sale starts from tomorrow, after the PlayStation Store has been updated.
Konami Releases New Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Screens
Konami has released new screenshots of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance from the Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary event and PAX 2012. The nine new screens show of Platinum Studio’s action-orientated Metal Gear title in more detail, including Raiden battling various enemies and even riding a missile.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Delayed in Europe
PSN title Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has been delayed in Europe but will be releasing very soon. The game is already available in North America, and seems to have missed it’s launch window in Europe. Sony Belgium has tweeted a new release date of September 12th 2012, just over a week away.
Sony Reveals Huge Games Line Up for TGS 2012
With the Tokyo Games Show just around the corner, Sony has revealed its line up of demos and playable games at the event. The PS Vita is again getting a big push from the company, but the line up also includes plenty of playable PS3 titles and a few PSP ones too. PS3 titles like Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Dust 514 and Assassin’s Creed III will be playable at the event.
PlayStation Plus Gets 25% Off This Week
PlayStation Plus will be getting a price cut this week in Europe, with PlayStation owners getting 5% off the current yearly subscription price. From this Wednesday until September 19th, gamers in Europe will be able to pick up a PlayStation Plus subscription for just £30 (€37.49).
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Limit Break Trailer
Square Enix has released new gameplay footage for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The new trailer shows more footage from the game, including various battles and the game’s limit break feature, which allows the user to perform a powerful attacks in order to wear down the enemy.
