If rumours from last night are true, Sony have begun shipping PlayStation 4 / Orbis development kits to development studios in North America. According to VG24/7, the Dev Kit is essentially a modified PC using components close to what the final PS4 will actually contain. A updated Dev Kit with near-final specs will ship in January.
Sony Announced Q2 Financials and Reduce Sales Forecast
Sony have announced their financial results for the 2nd quarter of the year, running from from July to September 2012. The figures show PS3 and PS2 sold 3.5 million units combined, and the PS Vita and PSP selling 1.6 million units combined. However, the figures don’t reveal how well the PS3 and PS Vita are doing individually.

EU PlayStation Store Update for October 31st 2012
The last PlayStation Store update for October is now live in Europe, and includes a number of new PS3 and PS Vita titles. Assassin’s Creed III and Need for Speed Most Wanted are available on the PS3, along with three other titles. On the PS Vita, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation, Smart as… and other titles are available to download.
LEGO Lord of the Rings Gets Release Date
Warner Bros. has revealed the release date for LEGO Lord of the Rings on the PS3 and consoles. The game, which is based on the Lord of the Rings trilogy, will be releasing on consoles next month on the PS3, and is already available on the PS Vita in North America.
US PlayStation Store Update for October 30th 2012
Assassin’s Creed III is available on the North American PlayStation Store this week, along with other new titles including Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Okami HD. A selection of new PS Vita titles are available too, including Brain trainer title Smart As and Assassin’s Creed III Liberation.
Black Ops II Live-Action Trailer “Surprise” Released
Call of Duty: Black Ops II is out in just a few weeks, and Activision has released a live-action trailer for the game, which aired in the US during Monday Night Football on ESPN this week. The one minute trailer is directed by Guy Ritchie and features a number of celebrities, including Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr.
Captain Price Voice Actor Outs Modern Warfare 4
The man who voices Captain John Price in the Modern Warfare games has revealed that a fourth title is in the works, ahead of an official announcement from Activision. Former Eastenders and The Bill star Billy Murray let slip that he’s been working on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3.

Rockstar Confirms GTA V Release Date for Spring 2013
Rockstar has revealed that GTA V will be heading to consoles in Spring 2013. Rockstar has confirmed that the game will be heading to the PS3 and Xbox 360, and pre-orders will be opening up from November 5th 2012. Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California, set in the sprawling city of Los Santos.
