March is going to be a big month for PlayStation Plus subscribers in North America. Subscribers can look forward to five new titles being added to the Instant Game Collection, including Spec Ops: The Line and Joe Danger 2: The Movie. You can look forward to a total of five new additions this month, which includes two PS Vita titles too.
Beyond: Two Souls Releasing in October
Sony has confirmed that Quantic Dream’s upcoming title, Beyond: Two Souls, will be releasing on the PS3 in October. The game was expected to release in May, but has been delayed. Sony has also revealed that Willem Dafoe has joined the cast, playing the part of Nathan Dawkins, a scientist working a government division studying paranormal activities.
PlayStation Network Downtime Next Week
The PlayStation Network will be going offline next week for some scheduled maintenance. The maintenance will start from Monday, March 4th at 16:00 GMT and will last until 3:00 AM on Tuesday, March 5th. If you wish to play online during the maintenance window, you’ll need to sign-in to the PSN before the network goes offline.
High-Res PS4 XMB Screens Released
Sony has released high resolution screens (or mock-ups) of the PS4’s user interface show at the PlayStation Meeting last week. The new interface looks similar to the XMB used in newer Sony televisions and also the updated PlayStation Store, with larger icons and a horizontal layout. The new screenshots also show what the user profile and PlayStation Network will look when viewed on other compatible devices, including mobiles and tablets.
Assassin’s Creed IV Coming In October
Ubisoft has confirmed that a new game is the Assassin’s Creed series will be called Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and will be coming to the PS3 and other consoles in October. The PS3 version will have exclusive content, just like the previous game. Ubisoft have also confirmed that more information and previews will be available on Monday, March 4th at 5PM, once the embargo has been lifted.
Remember Me Release Date and Trailer Revealed
Capcom’s mind bending action game, Remember Me, has been given an official release date and new trailer. The game will be releasing on the PS3 and other platforms in June, with the North American release pegged for June 4th, followed by European release on June 7th 2013. Check out the new trailer below.
New PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale DLC Coming March 2013
New DLC has been announced for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, featuring two new characters and a brand new stage to enjoy. SCEA Santa Monica Studios have been working hard to bring Isaac Clarke from Electronic Arts’ Dead Space, and Zeus from God of War to the game as two additional playable characters in the game, and a new “Graveyard” level.
EU PlayStation Store Update for February 27th 2013
New content is available to download on the PlayStation Store in Europe this week, including God of War HD, which is free to download for PlayStation Plus subscribers for a limited time. There are a number of new PS3 games available, including Uncharted 3 Multiplayer, which is free-to-play. New demos and DLC have also been added to the store this week.
God of War HD Free for PlayStation Plus Subscribers
Sony has announced a nice little surprise for PlayStation Plus subscribers. To celebrate the launch of God of War: Ascension next month, Sony have added God of War 1 HD to the Instant Game Collection – but it will only be available for two weeks starting today. The Classic PS2 title will be available to download after today’s weekly PlayStation Store update.
US PlayStation Store Update for February 26th 2013
New games are available to pre-order on the North American PlayStation Store this week, including BioShock Infinite and Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel. A few new titles are available to download too, along with new playable demos. There is also plenty of new DLC, themes, videos and other content available to download.
