Amazon Sees Record Breaking Pre-Orders for Next-Gen Consoles

Amazon is reporting record-breaking number of pre-orders for upcoming next-generation consoles since E3 2013, with a 4,000 percent increase compares to last year. At it’s peak, Amazon reported that pre-orders for the PS4 and Xbox One exceed 2,500 unites per minute.
Hotline Miami Release Date Confirmed, Exclusive Content Detailed

Sony has revealed that Hotline Miami will be releasing on the PS3 and PS Vita next week in both North America and Europe. The game will launch in North America on June 25th for $9.99, and in Europe on June 26th for £7.29 / €8.99. In addition, the PlayStation versions of the game will have an exclusive new mask designed by Abstraction and Dennaton Games.
Patched PS3 Firmware v4.45 to be Released Next Week

Sony has promised to release a fixed version of PS3 Firmware v4.45 next week, which caused PS3s to brick earlier this week. Sony has identified the issue in the firmware causing PS3s to break, and will be releasing the updated version of the firmware on June 27th, 2013.
Rumor Alert: Sony Adding Privacy Options to Trophies

Recent rumours suggest that Sony are working on new privacy settings for the PS3 and PS4 to allow users to hide their Trophy count and lists from other users. At the moment, trophy information is publicly available for any PSN user, meaning anyone can look at what games you’ve been playing.
PS4 Teaser Was Most Viewed YouTube Video in May in the UK

Sony’s PS4 teaser trailer was the most viewed YouTube clip in the UK last month according to Marketing Week. The video racked up over 7.6 million views in just over a month, beating Call of Duty’s “Masked Warriors” clip, and an advert from Specsavers, which hasn’t even hit 1 million views yet.
Rumor Alert: August’s PlayStation Plus Update May Include DmC and Spec Ops: The Line

July’s PlayStation Plus line-up was revealed earlier yesterday, but it looks like August’s line-up has also been leaked, revealing more top titles coming to the Instant Game Collection. July’s update includes Battlefield 3 and Saints Row: The Third, and it looks like Devil May Cry and Spec Ops: The Line will be coming in August.
Sony Releases FAQs on Firmware v4.45 Bricking

Following the release of PS3 Firmware v4.45 yesterday, Sony has provided FAQs on those affected with bricked consoles on what to do next. Unfortunately, Sony is still investigating the issue leading to broken consoles, so the answers aren’t that helpful, with most just saying “We kindly ask PS3 users to wait for further details. We will announce when ready.”
EU PlayStation Store Update for June 19th 2013

Seven new PS3 games are available on the PlayStation Store in Europe this week, along with seven new PS Vita titles too. New games include Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War and Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles Of Mystara on the PS3, and Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power Of Two and The Jak & Daxter Trilogy on the PS Vita.
Battlefield 3 and Saints Row: The Third Coming to PlayStation Plus in July

Sony Europe has revealed that five new games are coming to PlayStation Plus in July, including Battlefield 3 for the PS3 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus for the PS Vita. All five of the new games will be released to the store on July 3rd, 2013. Following on from the US, Saints Row: The Third will also be made available in the Instant Game Collection next month.
