A new major firmware update for the PS5 has been released, updating the system software to v21.02-04.00.00. This latest update includes over 20 improvements and changes to the PS5, including enabling the M.2 SSD expansion slot, vertical trophy lists, 3D audio support for TV speakers, and improvements to displaying PS4 games.

Sony has released PS4 Firmware 9.00 to the public today, having been in beta testing for the last couple of months. The biggest change to the PS4 system software in the support for PS5 trophies on the Profile Screen and Trophy List. Just over 10 months after the PS5 launch, this update finally adds PS5 trophy support to the console.

Following some downtime to the LittleBigPlanet online community, it turns out that online services for the older LittleBigPlanet games have been shut down, without any prior warning. In a statement posted on twitter, the LittleBigPlanet twitter account stated that online services for all LittleBigPlanet games on the PS3 and PS Vita are no longer available.
