A video has been leaked on YouTube, allegedly showing how trophies will unlock on the PS4. The 22 second video shows the new trophy notification position and animation, but the sound effect remains the same. The trophy name in the notification also stands out a lot more.
Major GTA V Patch Available on PS3
Rockstar has released a new patch for Grand Theft Auto V on the PS3, fixing a number of issues with the game, including the major bug that corrupts save data. Rockstar has also reiterated to save your GTA Online game before leaving to make sure your data is saved. Otherwise, you may lost any progress since your last save.
PSN Downtime Tonight
The PlayStation Network will be undergoing maintenance tonight, for a few hours, and will affect online gaming. The network will be offline between 20:30 and 00:00 BST, where all services will be offline. Sony also says that online gaming will be unavailable between 21:00 and 22:00 BST.
Guerrilla Games Release Killzone: Shadow Fall Helghast Screenshots
Guerrilla Games have release some wonderfully detailed screenshots from Killzone: Shadow Fall showing the the new Helghast Army and it’s new breed of troopers. The new troopers have vastly evolved since the events of Killzone 3, with new and improved Assault troppers, Commandos and Engineers.
US PlayStation Store Update for October 8th 2013
Lots of new content is available on the PlayStation Store in North America this week, with seven new PS3 and PSN titles and three new PS Vita titles to enjoy. New PS3 games include Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness, F1 2013 and Atomic Ninjas. New PlayStation Plus content is also available, with Shadow of the Colossus now part of the Instant Game Collection.
EU PlayStation Store Update for October 8th 2013
A number of new PS3 titles are available on the PlayStation Store this week, including Dishonored Game of the Year Edition, and Dragon’s Crown. A couple of new PS Vita titles and PS Mobiles have also been added to the store this week, along with some new DLC.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Exclusive PlayStation Content and DLC Detailed
Ubisoft has revealed more information about Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag exclusive mission on the PlayStation, as well as future DLC content and Season Pass. The PlayStation version of the game will include 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay featuring Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation‘s heroine Aveline.
The Playroom Trophy List Revealed
The first trophy list for the PS4 has appeared online on the PSNProfiles website, revealing 12 trophies for The Playroom, including one gold and four silver trophies. The game comes pre-installed on the PS4 when it launches in November, though a PlayStation Camera is required to make use of it.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Will Feature 3-5 Hours of Present Day Content
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s Game Director Ashraf Ismail has revealed some new information about the upcoming game featuring new protagonist Captain Edward Kenway, and set during the Golden Age of Pirates in the early 1700s. Ismail has previously revealed that present-day sequences will be available in the game, but has delved deeper in a new interview.
PS4 Companion Application Detailed
New details about the PS4’s companion application on iOS and Android have been revealed, along side confirmation of a PS Vita version of the app. According to SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida, “It’s an application that anyone can download for free on iOS and Android devices.”
