Sony has revealed that the PlayStation Network will be going offline on Monday, 27th January 2014 affecting your evening gaming session. The maintenance will last for approximately 6 hours between 5.30pm to 11.30pm GMT (6.30pm to 00.30am CET).
EU PlayStation Store Update for January 22nd 2014
New PS3, PS Vita and PS Mobile games are available on the European PlayStation Store this week, including Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z (PS3, PS Vita), Grid 2 Reloaded (PS3) and OlliOlli (PS Vita). You can also find a playable demo for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and a selection of new DLC for various PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games.
The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC Trailer and Interview Released
New DLC is heading to The Last of Us next month, and Naughty Dog has released a new trailer and interview this week. The “Left Behind” DLC is a story-driven epilogue that is set before the events of the main game and focuses on Ellie and her older and arguably wiser friend, Riley.
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Demo Available on PlayStation Store
If you fancy playing Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII ahead of release, you’ll be happy to know that a playable demo is now available on the PlayStation Store. The demo will give you the opportunity to play the opening section of the game, allowing you to test the new battle system and customisation options in the third and final instalment of the series.
DriveClub Receives New Trailer and Rumoured June Release Date
A new DRIVECLUB trailer has been released, explaining the brand guidelines for the game as well as revealing new footage. The video covers everything from the logo, typography and colour palette to images, icons and visual effects. In addition, Italian Official PlayStation Magazine has revealed that the game will be available in June.
European PlayStation Plus Line-up for February 2014 Revealed
Sony Europe has finally revealed the PlayStation Plus line-up for February, confirming two titles we’ve previously known about and also confirming previous rumours. A total of five new games will be added to the Instant Game Collection, including two PS3 titles, two PS Vita titles and one PS4 title.
Resogun DLC in Development says Housemarque
PS4 launch title, Resogun, will be getting DLC content, developers Housemarque have revealed via their Facebook Fan Page. When questioned about a PS Vita version of the game, the developer revealed that they’re working on “Resogun DLC and another PS4 project”.
US PlayStation Store Update for January 21st 2014
New content is available on the US PlayStation Store this week, with InFamous: Second Son (PS4) now available to pre-order, and OlliOlli now available on the PS Vita. New PlayStation Plus content is also available, with two new titles added to the Instant Game Collection.
FIFA 14 Still Dominates UK Games Chart, Killzone: Shadow Fall Climbs
Once again, the UK Games chart remains unchanged, with the top 4 titles keeping the same position as last week. FIFA 14 remains the no 1 seller, followed by CoD: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. PS4 exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall has climbed the chart yet again, gaining two places since last week, coming in at sixth position.
PlayStation Now Coming to Europe in Q1 2015 According to Leaked Slides
Eurogamers reports that Sony has developed new PS3 hardware to provide the PlayStation Now service coming to North America this Summer. In addition, leaked slides and Eurogamer’s sources confirm that the service will also be coming to Europe, but not until early 2015. Sony’s engineers have managed to shrink the equivalent of eight PS3s onto a single motherboard, housed in a slimline server cabinet.
