Sony has updated the PlayStation Companion app on iOS and Android to version v1.60, adding some new features to the application along with improvements. Among the changes is the ability to view Live Streams in the [Live from PlayStation] section, supporting both Twitch and UStream.
US PlayStation Plus Line-up for February Revealed
Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus line-up for North America for February 2014, unveiling the six new titles coming to the Instant Game Collection. Most of the games are the same as Europe, including Outlast (PS4), Metro: Last Light (PS3) and ModNation Racers: Road Trip (PS Vita).
Microsoft gets Desperate with PS3 Trade-In Email Campaign
Microsoft appears to be getting desperate in selling Xbox One, as they’re latest email campaign suggests. Microsoft is offering $100 credit towards a Xbox One for trading-in a PS3 at a Microsoft Store. The email was spotted on NeoGAF, with responses from posters ranging from “LOL” to “wow” and “NEVER”.
Rumor Alert: The Last of Us Sequel in Development for PS4
Brazilian website Omelete, the largest entertainment website in the country, have word from an insider source that the sequel to PS3 title, The Last of Us, is being developed at Naughty Dog, alongside Uncharted 4. The game is being developed by a secondary team and is scheduled for release in 2015.
Killzone: Shadow Fall Sells 2.1 Million Units Worldwide
Sony has revealed that PS4 exclusive, Killzone: Shadow Fall, has sold an impressive 2.1 million units worldwide since launch. The game has been available for approximately 2 and a half months and has yet to launch in Japan. The sales figure was helped by the fact that the game was bundles with the PS4 in at least two varieties.
Sony Reveals PS4 Outselling Xbox One 3:2 in the UK
Sony has revealed that the PlayStation brand is making a big turnaround this generation in the UK, with the PS4 outselling the Xbox One at 3:2 ratio. Sony’s UK MD Fergal Gara talked of Sony’s wish to reclaim the UK market in a press conference this morning.
EU PlayStation Store Update for January 29th 2014
New content has been added to the European PlayStation Store today, bring new titles to the Instant Game Collection for the PS3 and PS Vita. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is now available to pre-order, while Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is now available for the PS4.
Gran Turismo 6 Update Now Available, Adds New Cars
Gran Turismo 6 on the PS3 has been updated to version v1.04, adding a number of new additions to the game, including new cars and the 2nd half of the Red Bull X Challenge. One of the new features is a Birthday Present – you’ll get a in-game car from your birth year within a week of your birthday, and it’s yours to keep forever.
