Sony has launched PlayStation Vue – it’s new live and on-demand TV service – in a few select cities in North America. Currently only available in Chicago, New York City, and Philadelphia on the PS4 and PS3, Sony is working hard to expand the service to more cities.
US PlayStation Store Update for march 17th 2015
New content is available on the US PlayStation Store this week, with six new PS4 games, six new PS3 games and four new PS Vita games. Notable new games this week include three versions of Battlefield Hardline (PS4, PS3), Jamestown+, and Tennis in the Face (cross-buy).
PlayStation Now Closed Beta Launching In UK Soon
Sony has finally officially announced that the PlayStation Now closed beta will be launching in the UK soon. We’ve already obtained access to the beta and are impressed by how well it works, and soon PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to get their hands on it.
PS4 Firmware v2.50 Screenshots Leaked
A PS4 beta tester has leaked over 15 screenshots of upcoming PS4 firmware update v2.50, showing the changes in the Dynamic Menu, the various accessibility options and more. The firmware is “coming soon” according to Sony, but in the mean time check out the screenshots to see what changes await you.
Free Online Multiplayer This Weekend for PS4 Owners
Sony has announced a free online multiplayer weekend for all PS4 owners this weekend, giving gamers three days of access. Starting Friday, March 20, at 12:01am Pacific through Sunday, March 22, at 11:59pm Pacific, you’ll be able to play online, even if you don’t have a PlayStation Plus subscription.
Titanfall Sequel Confirmed, Coming to PS4
The sequel to Xbox One exclusive Titanfall has been confirmed, and will be going multiplatform this time around. Speaking to IGN at the BAFTA Game Awards, Respawn founder and CEO Vince Zampella has confirmed Titanfall 2 is in development, and will be coming to PS4 and PC, in addition to the Xbox One.
Top PSN Sellers for February 2015 in North America
Sony has released the PlayStation Chart for North America, revealing that Dying Light was the top selling PS4 game last month. Dragon Ball Xenoverse came in at 2nd place, followed by Evolve. On the PS3, Minecraft continues to dominate the chart, followed by Resident Evil.
EU PlayStation Store Update for March 11th 2015
New content is available on the European PlayStation Store with six new PS4 games, nine new PS3 games and five new PS Vita games. New games include Hotline Miami 2, Atelier Shalliei (PS3) and Flame Over (PS Vita). You can also find 13 new PS Mobile titles.
Sony Details PS4 Firmware Update v2.50
Last week, details of PS4 Firmware v2.50 were leaked by beta testers, but this week Sony has released the main feature list for the upcoming firmware. PS4 Firmware v2.50, codenamed “Yukimura”, will finally deliver the Suspend / Resume feature that was promised by Sony prior to the PS4’s launch.
Project CARS Delayed Yet Again, Coming in May
Bandai Namco’s Project CARS has been delayed to yet again, making it the third delay to date. After the last delay, the release date was set to April 2nd 2015, but today Slightly Mad Studios has pushed it back to May 2015. The claim is that the game is 99.9% complete but wants extra time to complete the remaining 0.1%.
