It turns out that Sony only jumped the gun by a couple of days. Sony has made a follow up announcement, confirming that DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition will be available to all PlayStation Plus members starting on Thursday, 25th June. The offline mode will be available first, followed by a steady rollout of the online functionality.
US PlayStation Store Update for June 23rd 2015
New content is available on the US PlayStation Store this week with ten new PS4 games added, including Batman Arkham Knight, Planetside 2 and Don’t Starve: Giant Edition. You can also find a handful of new PS3 and PS Vita games, along with new downloadable content.
DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition Briefly Appears on US PlayStation Store
It looks like someone at Sony jumped the gun a little and accidentally launched the long-awaited PlayStation Plus edition of DRIVECLUB. However, the game was eventually pulled from the store and Sony responded with a statement indicating that the release was “premature”.
Sony Officially Announces 1TB PS4, Coming in July 2015
Sony has officially unveiled the 1TB PS4 we reported about earlier this month. The new model will be known as the Ultimate Player 1TB Edition, and will be available in Europe and PAL territories from July 15th 2015. The new model offers twice the storage capacity of the current model, so you’ll be able to download more games and DLC.
Heavy Rain & Beyond: Two Souls Confirmed for PS4 in Europe
Sony has revealed that Quantic Dream’s Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls (both released on the PS3) are coming to the PS4. However, the two games will only be available in Europe and the PAL region. Both games will be available as individual digital releases, or as part of a two0game bundle available on disc and digitally.
EU PlayStation Store Update for June 17th 2015
This week’s PlayStation Store update is rather light since it was E3 week, but there is still new content to be enjoyed. This week sees two new PS4 games and one new PS3 game added, including Tour de France 2015. You can also find new DLC for the PS4 and PS3.
The Last Guardian Coming to PS4 in 2016
After years of drip-fed information and no-shows, Sony has finally revealed more details about The Last Guardian – a title that was first revealed in 2009, and expected to release on the PS3 in 2011. The long-awaited game will now be releasing on the PS4, and is expected to release in 2016.
New Uncharted 4 Trailer Released
Sony and Naughty Dog has released a new gameplay trailer for upcoming PS4 exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The new trailer shows Drake reunited with his old friend and mentor, Victor Sullivan, and also shows Drake’s ability to drive various vehicles in the game – the first time ever in franchise history.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Announced for PS4 and PS Vita
After years of asking, Final Fantasy fans are finally getting a remake of Final Fantasy VII, which originally released on the PlayStation. Regarded as one of the best FF games, Sony and Square Enix announced that a rename is in the works and will be coming to the PS4 and PS Vita.
