Sony have just announced the release date and price for PlayStation VR. The device will be available this October, and will cost £349 / $399 / €399 – making it $200 cheaper than the Oculus Rift. The device will also require a PS4, DualShock 4 controller and PlayStation Camera, but all that is still cheaper than a high-end PC.
PlayStation Video App Now Available on Android
Sony has announced that the PlayStation Video app is now available on Android phones in supported territories, letting you access Sony’s catalogue of movies and TV shows. If you have previously purchased content through the PlayStation Store, you can access those too via the Library.
EU PlayStation Store Update for 8th March 2016
The European PlayStation Store has been updated with new content, including nine new PS4 games and a new PS Vita game. New games include Salt and Sanctuary (PS4), Paragon (PS4) and Senran Kagura Estival Versus (PS4, PS Vita). You can also find new DLC for a number of PS4 games.
PlayStation VR will be Priced for “Mass Market”
With just a few days to go until the big PlayStation VR event, Sony Computer Entertainment vice president Masayasu Ito has gone on record to state that the device will be “affordable” and for the “mass market”. In an interview with Polygon, Ito has re-iterated that the device will be priced like a new platform, but will be cheaper than the main competitors: Oculus Rift and HTV Vive.
22 New Games Added to PlayStation Now Library
Sony is continuing to expand the PlayStation Now library, adding a further 22 new titles this week. You can now play over 180 games on the cloud gaming service, including new additions like Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, all for as little as £12.99 a month.
Tom Clancy’s The Division Breaks Ubisoft’s Day-One Sales Record
Ubisoft has announced that Tom Clancy’s The Division has broken the company’s sales record for most copies sold in the first 24 hours of release. Unfortunately, the company didn’t announce any specific sales figures for the game, which is available on PS4, PC and Xbox One, but the count did include digital sales.

PAL PlayStation Store Chart for February 2016
SCEE has released the PlayStation Store Chart for February 2016, revealing the top selling digital games across all three PlayStation platforms. On the PS4, Firewatch was the top selling game, beating Far Cry Primal, which came in 2nd place. On the PS3, FIFA 16 continued to top the chart, but Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare made a re-entry in time for the sequel.
