Following No Man’s Sky going Gold last week, Hello Games founder Sean Murray revealed that the game is just 6 GB in size, consisting mostly of audio. The size of the game was revealed in a follow-up tweet to the original Gold announcement.
PAL PlayStation Store Chart for June 2016
SCEE has released the PlayStation Store charts for June 2016, revealing Battlefield 4 as the top selling title on the PS4. The EA promotions on Battlefield helped the title climb into the number one spot, followed by Battlefield Hardline. May’s top selling title, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, dropped to 15th place in June’s chart, and new comer Resident Evil 5 debuted on the chart in 18th place.
No Man’s Sky Has Gone Gold
Following a recent delay, Hello Games has confirmed that No Man’s Sky has finally gone Gold. This means that the game’s development is now complete and physical discs can now be manufactured. The announcement was made via twitter by founder Sean Murray on the @NoMansSky account.
US PlayStation Store Update for 5th July 2016
New content is available for purchase and download on the US PlayStation Store, with ten new PS4 games and one new PS Vita game added. New games include The Banner Saga 2 (PS4), Romance Of The Three Kingdoms XIII (PS4) and Lumo (PS Vita). You can also find new add-on content for various games, including Alienation (PS4), Paragon (PS4) and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4).
21 New Titles Join PlayStation Now This Week
Sony continues to expand the PlayStation Now library, with 21 new games joining the streaming service this week. Among the new additions you can find the PS3 versions of Quantic Dream’s Heavy Rain and Beyond, and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Left Behind stand-along title. The new additions mean that over 250 titles are now available on PlayStation Now. The full list of new titles is included below.
EU PlayStation Store Update for 5th July 2016
New content is available on the European PlayStation Store, along with July’s PlayStation Plus update. Twelve new PS4 games, two new PS3 games and two new PS Vita games are available this week, as well as a handful of new add-on content. Notable additions this week include The Banner Saga 2 (PS4), and the Doodle God Ultimate Collection (PS4, PS3).
Doom’s First Update Now Available on PS4
Bethesda has released the first update for Doom, adding a few new features to the game, along with plenty of bug fixes. Among the new features is “Photo Mode”, which is available in Campaign mode. There are plenty of bug fixes for both the single-player and multiplayer modes, including weapon balancing, trophy glitchs, and the more important game crashes. The update notes can be found below.
LittleBigPlanet’s Japan Servers Being Closed Next Month
Sony Japan has revealed that the online servers for LittleBigPlanet will be closing at the end of July 2016, rendering the online portion of all LittleBigPlanet games useless. The server closure will affect all LBP games including LBP, LBP2, LBP3, LBP Karting, Portable & Vita, affecting the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita games.
Uncharted 4 Lost Treasures DLC and Patch v1.08 Now Available
Naughty Dog has released the first multiplayer DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, along with game update v1.08. The update include a Level System, and entirely new Rank system with exclusive rewards for multiplayer gamers. The update weights in at a massive 1.3 GB, and can be downloaded now. The DOC is available for purchase via the PlayStation Store.
PlayStation Plus Games for July 2016 Revealed
Sony has revealed the free PlayStation Plus games joining the Instant Game Collection in July 2016. The games will be available to download from 5th July, and includes Saints Row: Gat out of Hell (PS4) and Fat Princess (PS3). As an added benefit this month, PS Plus subscribers can get early access to Paragon, the new MOBA from legendary developer Epic Games.
