The full changelog for PS4 Firmware v4.50 has been leaked, revealing more details about the upcoming firmware update. The changelog reveals that a USB 3.0 HDD must be used to make use of the external HDD feature introduced in this firmware update. Other changes include posting of animated GIFs, changes to the Notification system so all notifications appear in a single list, and changes to make creating sub-account much easier.
Top PSN Sellers for January 2017 in North America
The first Top Download list of 2017 has been revealed for North America, listing the top downloaded titles in January 2017. ARK: Survivor’s Pack was the top downloaded game on the PS4, beating RESIDENT EVIL 7 biohazard. Surprisingly, majority of the PS4 chart was filled with old titles making a re-entry, thanks to the January Sales.
EU PlayStation Store Update for 7th February 2017
The European PlayStation Store has received a rather large update this week, at least in terms of new games. February’s PlayStation Plus line-up is available available today, which includes LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4) and Not a Hero (PS4). There are 12 new PS4 games and one new PS Vita game on the Store this week, including the For Honor Open Beta and Nioh.
PS4 Firmware v4.50 Beta Starts Today, Includes External Hard Drive Support
Starting today, those of you lucky enough to be chosen for the PS4 Firmware v4.50 beta (codename Sasuke) trial will be able to get your hands on the new features from the forthcoming update. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Gets Official Release Date
At the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary event in Japan, Square Enix announced the official release date for PS4 exclusive Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. The game will be releasing worldwide this July, and will include a job progression system never released outside Japan. The game itself has been remastered with both better audio and visuals from the original PS3 title.
EU PlayStation Store Update for 1st February 2017
February’s first PlayStation Store update is now live, with nine new PS4 games, one new PS VR game and three new PS Vita games available for purchase. Notable additions this week include Double Dragon IV (PS4), new DLC for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Resident Evil 7, and Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star (PS Vita). The Playroom VR Updated With 4-Player Co-op Game
Japan Studio have updated free-to-play The Playroom VR on the PS4 with a brand new game. The new game, called “Toy Wars” is free to download for all PlayStation VR owners, and is available to download now. It’s a four-player co-op tower defense-style game set in an underground base under the bedroom of our hero.
PlayStation Plus Games for February 2017 Revealed
Sony has revealed the six new games coming to PlayStation Plus in February 2017, which include LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS4) and Not a Hero (PS4). The new games will be available to download on 7th February 2017, which is also when January’s games will be removed. The line-up is exactly the same for both North America and Europe. PlayStation Now has been updated with a selection of new games this week, including Game of the Year editions for Uncharted 3, Tomb Raider and The Walking Dead. The new additions include the full PS3 games and all the DLC released for them, all for just£12.99/€16.99 per month.
