Sony has announced the latest hardware sales for the PS4 and PlayStation VR following Black Friday. As of 3rd December 2017, the PS4 has sold 70.6 million units worldwide – that’s over 10 million additional units since June 2017. In addition, Sony revealed that sales of the PlayStation VR headset has broken the 2 million mark.
Deal 4 in Sony’s 12 Deals of Christmas is now live on the European PlayStation Store. The 4th deal is a decent 50% off Need for Speed: Payback, which is now £29.99 (down from £59.99). The Deluxe Edition of the game has been discounted too, again saving you 50% off the RRP.
This week’s European PlayStation Store update it in! This week, you can look forward to over 25 new PS4 games and a couple of new games for the PS3 and PS Vita. New games this week include The Walking Dead Collection (PS4), Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition (PS4) and The Jak and Daxter Collection (PS4). You can also find new DLC for a number of PS4 games, including The Sims 4.
It’s time for Deal 3 in Sony’s 12 Deals of Christmas promotion. For the next 48 hours, gamers can save over 60% on GTA V – if anyone doesn’t own it already, that is. The game has been discounted to £19.99, but it was previously available for £22 during the Black Friday sales.
Sony’s second deal of Christmas is now available on the European PlayStation Store: NBA 2K18. The game has been discounted by over 40%, with the standard game costing you just £29.99.
Sony Europe has once again kicked off it’s annual 12 Deals of Christmas promotion, giving gamers discounts on 12 different games throughout the next 24 days, each available for 48 hours only. The first deal is 37% off Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy on the PS4, available until 2pm on 2nd December.
The very last PlayStation Plus line-up for 2017 has been unwrapped by Sony as we head into December. Six free games will be made available to subscribers on 6th December 2017, which include Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition (PS4) and Xblaze Lost: Memories (PS3). The two PlayStation Plus bonus titles (Until Dawn: Rush of Blood and That’s You!) will also continue to be available.
This week’s European PlayStation Store update is a fairly small one compared to the usual ones. There is only new PS4 content available this week, which includes over 15 new PS4 games, and various new DLC. New games include Star Ocean: The Last Hope, The Escapists 2 and DOOM VFR.
Bungie have announced that Destiny 2 will be undergoing scheduled maintenance tomorrow for approximately six hours. During the maintenance period, the game will be offline. The maintenance will begin at 4:00pm GMT / 8:00am PST, and will last until 10:00pm GMT / 2:00pm PST.
New content is now available to download from the European PlayStation Store, including over 20 new PS4 games and a new PS Vita game. New games this week include Cities: Skylines, Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier and Project CARS 2 Demo. You can also find new DLC, including the Fast & Furious Bundle for Rocket League and Episode 3 of Batman: The Enemy Within.
