New games for PlayStation Plus subscribers have been revealed, and will be hitting the PlayStation Store after tomorrows (5th June 2018) weekly refresh. PS4 owners can look forward to XCOM 2 and Trials Fusion, both of which will be available to download for free.
EU PlayStation Store Update for 29th May 2018
This week’s European PlayStation Store update is packed full of new PS4 games – over 25 new games have been added, but it’s only new games this week (no new add-on content). Notable games this week include Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, Sega Mega Drive Collection, and Shift Quantum. Check out the full list of new games below.
Battlefield V Announced for October 2018 Release
Battlefield is going back to it’s World War roots with the announcement of Battlefield V. EA and DICE have revealed that the upcoming game will based around World War 2, and will be releasing worldwide on the PS4, Xbox One and PC in October 2018. A trailer for the game has also been released.
EU PlayStation Store Update for 22nd May 2018
New content is available on the European PlayStation Store today, with over 15 new PS4 games and two new PS Vita games added to the store. Notable games this week include Quantic Dream’s latest title Detroit: Become Human, Darks Souls Remastered and the H1Z1: battle royale open beta. You can also find new DLC for a number of PS4 games.
PlayStation Boss Says PS4 Entering Final Stage of its Life Cycle
According to reports from the Wall Street Journal, the Sony Interactive Entertainment Chief, John Kodera, has said that the PS4 is entering the final stage in it’s lifecycle. This means the number of units sold will start to decline, and the lifecycle will end in March 2021.
PS4 System Software Ver. 5.55
A minor PS4 firmware update was released on 17th May 2018, updating the PS4 to version v5.55. Although a minor update, this update is mandatory to access the PlayStation Network. The changelog for this update can be found below.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 Announced with August 2018 Release
Konami has announced the annual iteration of Pro Evolution Soccer (PES). PES 2019 will be releasing on 30th August 2018 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The cover will feature Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona), but a David Beckham special edition will be available too. Check out the announcement trailer below.
Rage 2 Gameplay Trailer & Details Released
Bethesda have released a gameplay trailer for Rage 2, which will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2019. Developed by Avalanche Studios in partnership with id Software, it features a character known as Walker, the last Ranger in the wasteland who’ll go up against The Authority, much like in the first game.

New content is available on the European PlayStation Store today, with over twenty new PS4 games available for purchase. Notable games this week include the PS4 version of Dragon’s Crown Pro, the Onrush beta and Wizard of Legend. You can also find a handful of new add-on content.
Sony’s E3 Press Conference on 11th / 12th June 2018
Sony’s E3 press conference has been scheduled to take place on 11th June 2018, at 6PM PDT. For those in the UK and Europe, that means 12th June 2018 at 1 AM BST or 3 AM CEST. This year’s press conference will focus on four of Sony’s biggest first-party titles, but third-parties will also join the stage to reveal their latest projects.
