The PlayStation press conference at E3 last night (or this morning depending on which timezone you’re in) showcased a number of games and new trailers on games you can expect over the next few months. It was one of PlayStation’s shortest showcases, but there was plenty of content to enjoy. If you missed any of them, check them out below.
PlayStation Plus Subscribers can Download Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for Free
Following Sony’s E3 press conference last night / this morning, a special treat has been revealed for PlayStation Plus subscribers. To celebrate the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops, all PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for free on the PS4, until 11th July 2018.
FIFA 19 Coming to PS4 in September 2018 with UEFA Champions League
The worldwide release date for FIFA 19 has been officially revealed as 28th September 2018. EA has also revealed that this year, the game will come with the biggest club competition in world football: the UEFA Champions League. A new trailer for the game has been revealed, but unfortunately, it doesn’t feature any in-game footage.
PAL PlayStation Store Chart for May 2018
The PlayStation Store chart for May 2018 has been revealed by Sony, detailing the top selling digital titles last month. After just six days on sale, Detroit: Become Human was the top selling title on the PS4, pushing down the previous top seller, God of War, down to third place.
PlayStation VR Adventure Title Ghost Giant Announced with Trailer
A new adventure based VR game has been announced for the PS4, titled Ghost Giant. You play the role of the Ghost Giant, helping young Louis with challenges and adventures. Using your see-through hand, you can lift objects, rotate and open building, and help Louis along his journey.
Tetris Effect Announced for PS4 and PlayStation VR
A brand new take on the classic Tetris has been announced for the PS4 and PlayStation VR, and is releasing in autumn 2018. It’s named after the psychological effect of looking at everyday objects, such as products on a supermarket shelf, and idling wondering how you could fit them all together neatly, Tetris style.
Days Gone Coming to PS4 in February 2019
Sony has revealed that PS4 exclusive zombie apocalypse game Days Gone will be releasing in February 2019. A new trailer to mark the release date has also been released by Sony, which also introduces two new animal threats you’ll encounter in the game.
The Walking Dead: The Final Season’s Episode 1 Available in August 2018
The release date for Telltale’s The Walk Dead: The Final Season has been revealed, almost a year since the game was first announced. The fourth and final season will conclude Clementine’s journey, with the first episode in the season releasing on consoles and PC on 14th August 2018. A new trailer for the game has also been released (see below).
Sony to Announce Four New Games Ahead of E3 2018
In the run up to E3, Sony has revealed that it’s planning to announce four new games for the PS4 ahead of the PlayStation E3 showcase, which takes place on Monday, 11th June at 6:00pm PST. Starting tomorrow, Sony has a string of announcements lined up, including the release date for an upcoming title.
EU PlayStation Store Update for 5th June 2018
New content will be available on the European PlayStation from tomorrow, with over 20 new PS4 games and a couple of new PS Vita games being released. Notable games include ONRUSH, Moto GP 2018 and Vampyr. This week’s update also bring some new DLC content and new PlayStation Plus games.
