Reports over the weekend have surfaced on Reddit indicating that a malicious PSN message is causing PS4 systems to crash, requiring factory resets to fix the issue. The message, once received, causes the PS4 to shut down and enter a boot loop, making the console unusable.
Fortnite Deep Freeze Bundle Physical Release is via Voucher Code
New details about the Fortnite physical release have emerged, and it turns out that it won’t include a physical copy of the game. While the game will be available to purchase in stores in November, the box will actually contain a PSN code that needs to be redeemed on the PlayStation Store to download the game and content.
PSN Online ID Change Coming in Early 2019, Preview Program Starting Soon
Sony has officially announced that the long-awaited feature that will allow users to change their PSN Online ID is on it’s way. A preview program of the feature will become available to select users that have pre-registered as testers for previous PS4 Firmwarebetas. And a full roll-out of the feature will happen in early 2019.
Top PSN Sellers for September 2018 in Europe
The PlayStation Store chart for Europe has been released, showing the most popular digital purchases in September 2018. Last month saw a number of major releases, so it’s no surprise that FIFA 19 was the top selling PS4 title, followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man. A total of seven new releases made it into the top 20 last month.
PS3 System Software Ver. 4.83
Sony has release PS3 Firmware v4.83 today, which is a minor update to the console featuring stability improvements. The update is mandatory if you wish to play games online, so you may want to update your console before going online.

Epic Games and Warner Bros Interactive have announced that Fortnite Battle Royal is getting a physical version in November. The physical version will be available for PS4, Xbox One and Switch and will be called Fortnite: Deep Freeze Bundle. It will retail for £24.99 and will be available from 16th November 2018.
EU PlayStation Store Update for 9th October 2018
This week’s PlayStation Store update in now live in Europe, and includes over 20 new PS4 games and various new DLC. New games this week include Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, WWE 2K19 and TEKKEN 7 – Rematch Edition. New DLC includes content Overwatch, WWE 2K19, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
Sony Confirms PS4 Successor is in Development
Sony has gone on the record to reveal that it is currently working on the PS4’s successor. The revelation was made in an interview with Sony boss Kenichiro Yoshida and the Financial Times. Sony didn’t confirm if the successor would be called PlayStation 5, but that’s likely to be it’s name. Given that the PS4 is close to being 5 years old, it makes sense that Sony has started working on the next-generation version.
November’s PlayStation Plus Titles Have Been Leaked
October’s PlayStation Plus games have just been released, but someone at Sony has accidently revealed the two PS4 the games we can expect in November via the PS4’s portal. The two PS4 games you can expect in November are Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami, both of which were released in 2017.
