After some recent backlash from fans and game developers, Sony has announced that cross-platform play is coming to the PS4 after “a comprehensive evaluation process”. The first game to support cross platform play on the PS4 is Fortnite, with a “open beta” now available to PS4 gamers.

PlayStation Plus Line-Up for October 2018 Revealed
The list of new games heading to PlayStation Plus in October 2018 has been revealed. Six new games will be available to subscribers on Tuesday, 2nd October 2018, which includes Friday the 13th and Laser League on the PS4. Be sure to grab September’s games before they are removed from the store.
Life is Strange 2 Launch Trailer Released
The launch trailer for upcoming title Life is Strange 2 has been released by Dontnot Entertainment. Similar to the first Lift is Strange game, the sequel will be released in episodes, with the first of five episodes releasing on 27th September 2018. An all new story will playout in the upcoming game, which follows the journey of two brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz from Seattle to Mexico.
PlayStation Now Users Can Download Games for Offline Use
Sony has announced that PlayStation Now users will be able to download games to their PS4, on top of being able to stream them over the internet. The feature is gradually rolling out to users starting today, and will be available to all users soon. One of the advantages of downloading a PlayStation Now title is that you don’t need PlayStation Plus to play online.
Sony Launching PlayStation Classic in December 2018
Sony is relaunching the original PlayStation in the form of PlayStation Classic. The mini console will come pre-loaded with 20 of the best games from the original PlayStation Console, including Final Fantasy VII, TEKKEN 3, Ridge Racer Type 4, Wild Arms and more to be announced. The PlayStation Classic will launch on 3rd December 2018 for £89.99 / €99.99.
The Walking Dead: The Final Season’s Episode 2 Available Next Week
Just over six weeks after the release of Episode 1, Telltale Games is releasing the second episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season. The upcoming episode is titled ‘Suffer the Children’, and will be available on all supported platforms on 25th September 2018. Checkout the trailer right here.
FIFA 19 Demo Available to Download from the PlayStation Store
The FIFA 19 demo is now available to download for the PS4 via the PlayStation Store. The playable demo included 10 of the biggest clubs in the world, and lets you experience the updated Kick-Off mode. FIFA 19 included the UEFA Champions League, and you’ll see this in the demo too. Finally, the demo also gives players the first look into the final chapter of The Journey: Champions.
Top PSN Sellers for August 2018 in North America
The North American PlayStation Store Charts have been released, detailing the top selling digital titles in August 2018. On the PS4, Madden NFL 19 was the top seller, followed by Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition. Fortnite Battle Royale continues to dominate the free-to-play chart, while Firewall Zero Hour was the top selling PlayStation VR title. Check out the complete list of charts below.

The PlayStation Store chart for August 2018 has been released, showing the top selling digital titles on the PlayStation Store. On the PS4, GTA V continues it’s top position for the second month in a row thanks to the Summer Sale. On the PS VR, Robinson: The Journey has jumped back to first from sixth position last month. The Sims 4 Updated to v1.10
The Sims 4 on the PS4 has received major new patch, updating the game to v1.10. The major update, which is fixes a number of issues in the game, adds some new features and improves the Sim texture quality on the PS4 Pro. This patch also adds new content to the game including new hair styles, clothing, and more. The update is available to download now.
