The last PlayStation Store update for April is now live. This week, only new demo is available for download and it’s only available on the US PlayStation Store: MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 2. As for Game Add-on Content, the Killzone 2 pack, Steel and Titanium, is now available for purchase from both stores. There is also new add-on content for LittleBigPlanet, Need For Speed, Burnout Paradise, Rock Band, Guitar Hero and more. Check out the complete list below.

Rumor Alert: PSP2 a.k.a PSPgo
The rumor mill has been running overtime this week with information on what the PSP2 will contain. One of the more convincing rumors has revealed some interesting information from a supposed “inside source”. According to this source, the PSP2 will be called “PSP Go!”, in line with the range of services already offered on the PSP ( Go!Cam, Go!Explore etc). More details on the new PSP model should be revealed at E3 in June, and the new model is expected to launch towards the end of this year.
PlayStation Store update for April 24th 2009
This week’s PlayStation Store update is in! The Red Faction: Guerrilla and UFC 2009 Undisputed playable demos are now available to download from both the US and European PlayStation Stores. The Saints Row 2 DLC packs is also available for purchase on both stores as well as new content for LittleBigPlanet, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, The Godfather II and Midnight Club. Killzone 2 DLC Trailer and Price
Last week we gave you details on the Killzone 2 downloadable content “Steel and Titanium”, which is scheduled for release at the end of the month. The downloadable pack will be available on the US PlayStation Store next week for $5.99. The European PlayStation Store price is still to be confirmed. The pack will contain two brand new multiplayer maps with new gameplay elements and strategic twists. The two new maps are “Wasteland Bullet” and “Vekta Cruiser”. PSP Firmware 5.50
The latest firmware update for the PSP is now available to download. Firmware v5.50 introduces an Information Board on the PSP system’s XMB (XrossMediaBar) interface. Those of you who have a PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) may be familiar with this feature, which displays news and updates from the world of PlayStation in a scrolling ticker in the upper right-hand corner of your TV screen. In addition to this, you will now be able to create and access subfolders for photos, music and videos.
PlayStation Network downtime on April 21st
The PlayStation Network will be taken offline on Tuesday, April 21 for some essential maintenance according to Community Team Leader MusterBuster over at the Official EU PlayStation Forums. The maintenance will begin at 7:00 AM (GMT +1) during which time the entire network will be unavailable. The maintenance time frame was not mentioned so it could take several hours before the network is back online.

This week’s PlayStation Store update is in and there is a whole load of new game add-on content available to purchase and download. There are two new downloadable games on the European PlayStation Store, and both stores have some new wallpaper and XMB themes available for download. New game add-on content includes LittleBigPlanet costumes, Rock Band and Guitar Hero tracks, Roster updates for Smackdown vs RAW ’09 and add-ons for Valkyria Chronicles. A huge update to the playstation store this week. Both the US and European stores have several new downloadable games available to purchase include FLOCK and Rag Doll Kung Fu. Both stores also have two new playable demos each. There is also new game add-on content for LittleBigPlanet, Guitar Hero, Rock Band and more. PlayStation Home getting The Godfather II Game Space
In tomorrow’s PlayStation Home update, The Godfather II game space will be launched in the US. The game space will feature a Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Table. To celebrate the launch of this new space, Electronic Arts is holding a virtual Celebrity Poker Tournament on Thursday night (8:00PM EST, 5:00PM PT). All you have to do is thread up your avatar to look like celebrity and head on up the tables for a game.
In other Home-related news, Capcom is updating their Resident Evil 5 Game Space with a new mini-game and some new costumes in the souvenir shop. They’re also going to host some co-op RE5 matches through Home next week – make sure to login on Thursday, April 16, from 6 to 10PM EST or 3 to 7PM PT.
