This week’s US PlayStation Video Store update is quite small in terms of movie content but there are lots of new TV episodes to download. 20 new movies are available, including Knowing (HD) and Dragonquest. As for TV, there are over 50 new episodes and some new complete seasons have been added. For this week’s top movie downloads, Knowing is top followed by Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and Push.

Rumor Alert: PSP2 Will Have Quad-Core GPU
Rumors indicate that Sony is still working on a new PSP model even with the release of the PSPGo only months away. Eurogamer.es is claiming to have insider sources who say that the PSP2 will have a quad-core graphics chip. This is reportedly a quad-core version of the low-power SGX543MP chip, codenamed “Hydra”. Of course, this cannot be confirmed as Sony hasn’t even announced a new model yet.
PlayStation Store Update For July 9th 2009

This week’s PlayStation Store update features new downloadable games for both Europe and the US. Battlefield 1943 is now available to purchase from both stores and Buzz Jr. Robo Jam is also available on the US Store. The Ghostbusters demo is also available to download as well as game add-on content for lots of titles including Rock Band, Guitar Hero, MotorStorm, Dynasty Warriors 6 and Skate 2. Japan To Get Downloadable Manga For PSP

PlayStation Japan has announced that they will be adding downloadable Manga to the PlayStation Store. While there’s no mention of what manga will be available as well as pricing, this is great news indeed. Although of course, this is only for Japan – but lets hope Sony decides to expand into other regions. It shouldn’t be too much of a problem for Sony to bring this feature to other territories, though localization could prove to be a hurdle for Sony, especially in Europe.
PlayStation Video Store Update for July 3rd 2009

Lots of new movies and TV content available to download from the US PlayStation Video Store this week. New TV includes the latest episodes of The Philanthropist and In Plain Sight, as well as lots of back episodes of popular TV shows. As for this week’s top movie downloads, Gran Torino has moved to the top (from seconds place) followed by Inkheart. Friday the 13th has dropped to third place (from first place). PlayStation Store Update for July 2nd 2009

A huge update to the PlayStation Store this week, and it’s also the first update for July. Europe has received three new downloadable games as well as a new playable demo and PSOne classic. As for the US, Qore Episode 14 is now available to download as well as a new episode of PULSE. Both stores have lots of new game add-on content including a new LittleBigPlanet costume, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 extras and new tracks for Rock Band and Guitar Hero. Nathan Drake Heading to Hollywood

Nathan Drake is soon to appear at a cinema near you. Sony Computer Entertainment has signed a deal with Columbia Pictures for a movie adaptation of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and it will be produced by Avi Arad, Charles Roven, Ari Arad and Alex Gartner. Sony has been working with Avi and the folks and Columbia for quite some time and additional details on the film will be released in the near future.

A good update to the PlayStation Store for both the US and Europe. A new downloadable game, Zuma, is now available to download from the Euro PlayStation Store and Droplitz is available to download from the US store. There is also lots of new game add-on content including a new costume for LittleBigPlanet, new packs for High Velocity Bowling and new tracks for Guitar Hero and Rock Band.
