Today, new games spaces are to launch in PlayStation Home. The Buzz! Game Space is finally launching in the US, whereplayers can take part in a massive 64-player game of Buzz! trivia. In addition, EA Sports are updating the EA Sports Complex and launching the Fight Night Game Space. This swanky boxing-themed night club space launches with an interactive DJ game, rewards, and plenty of places to chill with your friends.

SCEE Making PS3 Dev Kits For Educational Institutions
Sony is extending their support for schools and universities with courses geared towards computer engineering and programming. At the Develop Conference 2009, Sarah Lemarie, SCEE R&D’s education contact and support infrastructure development manager, revealed that a PS3 dev kit designed for academic use is in the works and is currently in the closed beta phase. The PS3 dev kit includes a consumer-sized PS3 and a full SDK. Sony’s cross-platform game engine PhyreEngine will also be made available as part of the program.
Gran Turismo PSP – Your Questions Answered
Gran Turismo for the PSP will be launching later this year as a launch title along side the new PSP Go. Over on the PlayStation.Blog, Penrose Tackie, Gran Turismo European Brand Manager, has kindly posted some questions regarding the new game. From Sony’s E3 Press Conference, we already know that the game will feature 800 cars, 35 tracks, and 60 layouts of those tracks. See below for the FAQ.
Rumor Alert: PlayStation Network Connect
PlayStation Network users could be getting a better online experience soon, a newly registered website suggests. PlayStation gamers could be getting a more connected experience with the launch of PSN-Connect. Although the website is currently blank, the domain belongs to SCEA as a simple whois search reveals. Of course, this doesn’t prove anything. It could just be a holding page to protect the PSN Trademark.

PS3 Slim Spotted In Street Market?
Rumors about the PlayStation 3 Slim are still circulating dispite Sony debunking the initial claim. The PS3 Slim photos were first released back in May and later in June the BBC revealed that the PS3 Slim is expected to launch later this year. Now, a PS3 Slim was spotted at a street market retailer in the Philippines. Of course, this doesn’t prove anything as fake consoles are sold all the time and made to look like the real thing. PlayStation Video Store Update For July 10th 2009
This week’s US PlayStation Video Store update is quite small in terms of movie content but there are lots of new TV episodes to download. 20 new movies are available, including Knowing (HD) and Dragonquest. As for TV, there are over 50 new episodes and some new complete seasons have been added. For this week’s top movie downloads, Knowing is top followed by Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li and Push.

Rumor Alert: PSP2 Will Have Quad-Core GPU
Rumors indicate that Sony is still working on a new PSP model even with the release of the PSPGo only months away. Eurogamer.es is claiming to have insider sources who say that the PSP2 will have a quad-core graphics chip. This is reportedly a quad-core version of the low-power SGX543MP chip, codenamed “Hydra”. Of course, this cannot be confirmed as Sony hasn’t even announced a new model yet.
