Recent footage has surfaced showcasing stereoscopic 3D gameplay for the PS3 at TGS 2009. For those not in the know, stereoscopic 3D vision is any technique which can record three-dimensional visual information or creating the illusion of depth in an image by presenting a slightly different image in each eye. The footage shows gamers with the stereoscopic 3D glasses playing Wipeout HD.

PSPgo Hacked Already
While Sony went to great lengths towards preventing a repeat of the Pandora battery hack on PSPgo, they evidently forgot to patch up some existing security vulnerabilities on the software side. Mere days after the launch of the new hardware, homebrew developer FreePlay has managed to run unsigned code on it. Below is a video clip showing off his efforts in the form of a “Hello World!” proof of concept.

Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition Teaser
Capcom has unleashed the direct feed teaser trailer for its upcoming Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition for your viewing pleasure. The footage depicts protagonists Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine skulking around the ominous Spencer Estate while reminiscing on the events of the original Resident Evil and avoiding the Umbrella founder’s ingenious traps.

Mike Kebby over on the EU PlayStation.Blog let slip that Final Fantasy VIII will be available in Europe “soonish.” FFVIII, the fastest selling FF game of all time, was originally released in 1999 on the PlayStation, and was revived a few weeks ago when it hit the Japanese PlayStation Store. This is especially good news to Europe as some versions of the original PSOne game does not work on the PS3.

PSP-PS3 Connectivity for Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines
The upcoming Assassin’s Creed games for the PSP and PlayStation 3 will be interconnectable, allowing certain unlockables to be transferred between the two different games. This includes currency conversion between the PSP and PS3 versions and health upgrades from the PS3 to PSP versions (details below). The PSP-3000 will be bundled with Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines and will be available to purchase from November 17th. The bundle will also come with a 2GB Memory Stick Duo and a download voucher for the movie “Angels and Demons”.
PlayStation Video Store Update for Oct 2nd 2009
With this year’s fall TV season in full swing, all your favorite TV shows can be downloaded from the PlayStation Video Store – new episodes are available on the Store the same day their air on TV. New TV episodes include Dollhouse, Bones, House and Two and a Half Men. Don’t forget to also check out selected free TV episodes on the store. This weeks top movie downloads include Observe and Report, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, and Adventureland.
Ghostbusters Coming To PSP In November
Ghostbusters was released on the PlayStation 3 and other consoles back in June. Atart has announced that the PSP version of the game will be available in November. The PSP version is developed by RedFly Studios, which also developed the PlayStation 2 and Wii versions of the game. You can expect similar single-player campaigns, including the story written by the movie’s stars Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd.
