Last Final Final Fantasy XIII Trailer Released
Square-Enix released the last Final Fantasy XIII trailer earlier today. Showcasing never before witnessed segments, this is the final trailer set to be released before the official release in Japan in just three short weeks. With everything leading up to the launch, Square-Enix certainly went out with a bang with the trailer. Some of the trailer features previous footage from older trailers, but a lot of the content is new. As with previous titles, Final Fantasy XIII should be one of the most emotional entries of the legendary saga.

Yesterday, many websites reported that Sony reduced the number of consoles you can use your PSN-purchased games on from five to three. This was incorrectly reported, and was only a typo on Sony’s part. Content you purchase from the Store can be used on up to five PS3 consoles or PSPs (depends on compatibility). Some titles do still have restrictions, but these are clearly stated on the product information page.

In the last update for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Naughty Dog added a penalty for quitting online matches, deducting $40,000 for leaving a game, whether it was a Internet issue or your system froze. It’s fair if you quit the game deliberately, but for other issues its not. The update has resulted in many users complaining about the new rule, but unfortunately, Naughty Dog are standing their ground.
FreePlay’s PSPgo Exploit Patched By Firmware v6.20
Remember the PSPgo exploit we reported on a while back (see here and here)? Unfortunately, the exploit has now been patched in the latest Firmware update from Sony. FreePlay has revealed that the exploit used a gamesave exploit in Archer Maclean’s Mercury. If you still have Firmware 6.10 installed and own a copy of Mercury, you can still make use of the exploit.

Sony is planning a two-tiered subscription model for the PlayStation Network similar to – but also fundamentally different from – Xbox Live. Kaz has confirmed that online gameplay will remain free as will access to all the services the PlayStation Network currently provides.
