God of War III, due out next month, is one of few games this year that will not require installing game data to the hard drive. The announcement was made by Christoper Ericson, Santa Monica Director of Technology, over twitter stating “God of War III does NOT do a HD install. The 5MB listed on box back is for save game only.”

Heavy Rain Banned in UAE
One of the biggest exclusive title this year, Heavy Rain, has been banned in the Middle East. Sony has confirmed that the title has been banned in the United Arab Emirates due as the game presumably containing nudity and mature content. Sony released a statement to Kotaku earlier today, though specifics were not mentioned.
White Knight Chronicles Costumes Headed to LittleBigPlanet
This week, a number of new downloadable content packs are headed to LittleBigPlanet, for both the PS3 and PSP. The White Knight Chronicles costume kit will be available from the PlayStation Store this week. You can grab all four costumes for $5.99, or choose from your favorites for $1.99 each.
Borderlands Sells 3 Million Units
Just like Uncharted 2, Borderlands has also broken another sales milestone. The title has reached 3 million copies sold on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 combined, CEO and president Randy Pitchford has said. Take-Two’s financial results showed that the role-playing shooter had reached the 2 million mark by the end of October, meaning the extra million units was generated in about three and a half months.
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Sells 3.5 Million Units
In January, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves broke the 2.5 million sales mark since it was released in November 2009. In just over a month since, the game has sold another million units becoming the fastest selling first-party title in PlayStation history. In addition, Uncharted 2 has also garnered more than 150 other industry awards, and has over 1.5 million online users worldwide.
Rumor Alert: OtherOS To Be Removed In Next Firmware Update
According to a rumor on the Yellow Dog Linux Forums, Linux Product Manager Owen Stampflee has posted that the OtherOS feature will be removed in the next firmware update. The topic on the forum has since been removed, which leads us to question it’s credibility. The OtherOS feature is expected to be removed in order to block the recently discovered exploit.
Heavy Rain Chronicles Delayed for North America
The first part of the Heavy Rain DLC pack, Heavy Rain Chronicles: The Taxidermist, was originally expected to arrive when the game is released next week but has since been delayed. The first episode of the DLC is offered for free with the game when pre-ordering, but can be purchased separately from the PlayStation Store for $4.99.
FIFA 10 Patched to v1.03
A new patch is available for FIFA 2010, bringing the current version of the game to version v1.03. Unfortunately, the patch doesn’t address the bugs present in the game, but instead prepares the game for the launch of FIFA 10 Ultimate Team. The FIFA 10 Ultimate Team update will be available to download later this month. A trailer of the update can be found below.
More Minis Now Have A Mini Price
Today, more minis titles have been reduced in price. Some of the best selling titles from the minis category start from just €1.49 / £1.24. Best of all, the minis work on both the PSP and PS3. The price reduction is only effective for a limited time only, ending on March 4th 2010.
Rumor Alert: Nunchuck Coming to PS3 Motion Controller
According to the latest rumors, Sony is also working on a nunchuck attachment for the motion controller. Sony’s Arc / Gem controller is rumored to be arriving in two wireless parts: the glowing stick we’ve seen before and a “nunchuck” that will feature a number of buttons, including an analogue stick, Square, Circle and even L1 and R1.
