Final Fantasy XIV Delayed Due to Memory Issues

The “technical problems” cited by Square Enix as a reason to delay the launch of Final Fantasy XIV back in July was due to memory issues on the PS3. Producer Hiromichi Tanaka recently revealed that the reason for the delay was the PS3’s RAM restriction.
Kaz Hirai: PS4 Will Still Have Optical Drive

The PlayStation 4 will still have a optical drive according to a interview between Kaz Hirai and MCV. Hirai has ruled out a download-only future for the next generation PlayStation console as Sony’s business will always require a physical discs in one way or another, despite being the first one to release the download-only PSP Go.

GamesCom 2010: Resistance 3 Announced for PS3

With the success of Resistance: Fall of Man and Resistance 2, Insomniac Games have announced the third title in the series. Insomniac Games announced the third title at the PlayStation press conference at gamescom earlier this week in Cologne, Germany. While not a lot of detail was given away, they did reveal a live-action trailer (see below).
New PS3 System Models Available This Fall

This fall, two new PS3 models will be available to purchase featuring bigger hard drives. A new 320GB model will include the Sports Champions Move bundle, and a new 160GB system will replace the currentl 120GB slim model. These new higher capacity models will continue to offer the same advanced features and functions of the current models, but with approximately 33 percent more capacity and at compelling price points.
