At this year’s Game Developers Conference we unveiled Move.me, a new software application that runs on the PS3 system and gives researchers, students, and programmers access to PlayStation Move’s technology for developing apps beyond traditional gaming. Move.me enables anyone with a PS3 to experiment with PlayStation Move and create new applications using a PC, the PlayStation Move motion controller, the PlayStation Eye camera, and the PS3 system.
A new Tekken collection is heading to the PS3. TEKKEN Hybrid, due for a pre-christmas release, will feature three bone-crunching goodies on one Blu-ray Disc. Tekken Tag Tournament HD; Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue and Tekken Blood Vengeance.
Ubisoft’s version of the PSN Pass to access online multiplayer content has been priced in a press release from the company. Uplay Passport is, according to the statement, “a new program designed to provide players with access to bonus content, exclusive offers, and online multiplayer play.”
Version 1.1 of the Official PlayStation Mobile application is now available to download for the iOS and Android. Since the last update, a lot of changes have been made to the application. So for those of you that missed the announcement of all the different Resistance 3 retail options a few months back, Insomniac have releases a brand new trailer for the Resistance 3 Survivor Edition. The game will be available in three flavours: The standalone version, the Special Edition, and the premium Survivor Edition for hard-core fans.
Call of Duty: Black Ops gets a new DLC Map Pack towards the end of July. The Annihilation map pack features for new multiplayer arenas and will hit the PlayStation Store on July 28th 2011. The pricing for the pack hasn’t been revealed but its expect to cost the same as the previous two Map packs.
Ubisoft is following suit by releasing it’s own ‘online pass’ in the form of Uplay Passport, it’s been revealed. Driver: San Francisco will be one of the first to use the system, which will lock out multiplayer to anyone that hasn’t got a code, mainly affecting the second-hand games market.
Sadly, the Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Beta had come to an end, racking up over 1.53 million unique players participating! This makes Uncharted 3 the largest online beta to appear on the PS3. Naughty Dog have revealed some jaw-dropping stats from the beta, which you can find below.
