If you are finding the black PS3 somewhat boring, then this bit of news is just what you need. Sony Japan’s site shows two new PS3 colours: Scarlet Red and Blue Splash. The new colour variants are joined by a new PSP with black and red bodywork and make up a significant push for sales this Christmas by the Japanese branch of the console giant.

The dev team behind Final Fantasy XIII-2 has revealed that the story mode of the upcoming sequel should take between 30-40 hours to complete. This shouldn’t come as a shock to most people, since Final Fantasy has a reputation for long storylines.

American videogames retailer, Gamestop, has revealed the prices of the PlayStation Vita Memory Cards. The proprietary format cards are available in sizes ranging from 4GB up to 32GB and are based on the SD memory card format. As we expected, the Vita’s memory cards are much more expensive than the standard SD cards.
Kinect has now sold ten million units, but eight million were sold in the first two months, a pattern that Ubisoft has described as “not healthy”. In contract, the PlayStation Move only just reached the 9 million mark, but sales have been steady since launch. The latest figures puts the PlayStation Move just a million short of Kinect.
Electronic Arts has announced that “there have been some misunderstandings around Battlefield 1943 and Battlefield 3” and they intend to deliver the promised free copy of Battlefield 1943. Games in Europe can start claiming the game from tomorrow, while gamers in North America will have to wait until December 10th, followed by those in Asia the week after on December 17th.
According to a story by Eurogamer, the PlayStation Vita’s Remote Play functionality will be the same resolution as the PSP, which is currently stands at 480px x 272px resolution, and scaled up to the Vita’s resolution. A firmware update will enable Remote Play for all titles, and new PS3 games will be able to include a specific 480p resolution for the Vita.

Tekken Hybrid comes with three Tekken experiences: Tekken Tag Tournament HD, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue, and Tekken Blood Vengeance 3D all on one Blu-ray disc. Both Tekken Blood Vengeance and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue are both compatible with 3D televisions.
