On Saturday PlayStation Vita launched in Japan. While it’s customary for shops to open at midnight here in Europe and Australasia, in Japan the stores open just an hour or so early and shoppers queue through the early hours of the morning. Check out some of the photo taken through the launch below.

Now that the PlayStation Vita’s manual is accessible online, we’ve learnt a great deal of new information about the upcoming portable console. For example, did you know that the PlayStation Vita’s little PS button glows blue when you have new notifications on the console?
New Gran Turismo 5 DLC and Patch Coming Next Week

Some new content is coming to Gran Turismo 5 next week, including the second round of DLC. Next week you’ll be able to download Car Pack 2 for $3.99 and add some fantastic new rides to your garage. Car Pack 2 includes the 2011 Mini Cooper S, 2010 Volkswagen Golf VI R, 2010 Volkswagen Scirocco R, and the new and improved 2012 Nissan GT-R Black edition R35.
PSN Maintenance Tomorrow

Some more PlayStation Network downtime has been scheduled to take place tomorrow, Thursday 15th December. The PlayStation Network will be offline between 16.00PM until 02.00AM GMT on Friday 16th December. As usual, you wont be able to sign into any PlayStation Network services, including the PlayStation Store and Account Management sections.
10 New PlayStation Vita Gameplay Trailers

Sony has released over 10 new gameplay trailers showcasing the best of what the PlayStation Vita has to offer. The YouTube playlist features new trailers from Escape Plan, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust Delta, and UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss. We’ve included a few select trailers for you to watch below too.
PlayStation Home Version v1.60 Now Available

PlayStation Vita Will Allow Multiple PSN Accounts

Last week Sony mentioned that the PlayStation Vita only allow only one PSN account to be linked to the portable console, and that changing this account would require a factory reset. It seems that Sony has taken a u-turn on their initial statement and has provided new information on multi-accounts.
Top PSN Sellers for November 2011

The top 20 PSN and PS3 sales for November 2011 are now in. inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood is at the top of the PS3 list, but you may be interested to learn that it’s also now officially the fastest-selling PS3 digital game ever launched on PSN. On the PS one Classics front, newly released RPG classic Chrono Cross lead the pack, while Corpse Party is top in the PSP download chart.
