Another PSN maintenance window has been scheduled for March 1st 2012, between 4pm and 7am the following day. As usual, your SEN Account, the PlayStation Store and associated services will be offline during this time. However, unlike normal, users who sign-in before the maintenance window will not be able to stay online.
Starhawk is finally entering the Public Beta phase today. If you haven’t already done so, you can download the Starhawk Multipler Beta from the PlayStation Store today. Over the next coming weeks, the beta will be getting lots of updates including a new map, new vehicles, new weapons, 32 player max matches and more.

NFL Blitz was on top for PSN / PS3 downloads, while Corpse Party went for its third straight month at the top of the PSP charts. In PSone Classics, Final Fantasy VII reclaimed its spot at the top. Lastly, Battlefield 3 DLC earned two spots on the Add-Ons category.
Sony stopped uploading comics to the PSP Comic Store in July last year, but it looks like the entire service will be shutting later this year. If you have any comics on your account, you should back them up to your computer using the MediaGo program before they are removed from the Store.

As launch day for the PlayStation Vita approaches, Sony has announced another deal to entice users to splash out on the new portable console. Konami has announced that Metal Gear Online will close its doors on June 21st after four years of service. The game made up the multiplayer component in Metal Gear Solid 4. At one point, the game has around 1.3 million users, but numbers have obviously shrunk over the years.

Mass Effect 3 plunges you into the boots of Commander Shepard, a decorated marine and war hero, as players lead the charge in an all-out galactic war against a nearly unstoppable foe.
Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed that a minor Gran Turismo 5 update will be going live this week, bringing the game up to version v2.05. The update includes various bug fixes and improves the stability of online play.
