God of War: Ascension Announced

A new God of War title is heading to the PlayStation 3. Sony Santa Monica Studios has been working hard on God of War: Ascension, a PS3 exclusive title, and have released the very first trailer of the game (below).
3D PlayStation Display Finally Available In Europe

Remember the official 3D Display released in North America last year? Well, Sony’s press release from this morning reveals that the 24″, 1080p 3D Display in now available in Europe. For its European release, the display is bundled with a couple of games – Platinum versions of Killzone 3 and Gran Turismo 5 as well as an HDMI cable and two pairs of rechargable 3D glasses.
Rumour Alert: PS4 Getting Speech Recognition

Sony is looking for an intern to help with developing a voice recognition system. Since the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita don’t have a ‘voice recognition system’ then it’s a pretty safe assumption this can only be for a future PlayStation product (or indeed a future firmware update for either of the existing products).
LittleBigPlanet 2 Patch 1.12 Out This Week

LittleBigPlanet 2 will be getting a patch this week, bringing the game to version v1.12. The patch will introduce a few tweaks to the game to address user feedback, including removal of negative feedback from the Level Rating System. Check out the changelog below.
PlayStation Network Scheduled Maintenance

PlayStation Network is offline for scheduled maintenance from 14:00 on Monday 16 April 2012 until 02:00 on Tuesday 17 April 2012, BST. During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the PlayStation Store and other PlayStation Network services.
Rumor Alert: PS4 / Orbis to Feature “Native” OpenGL

Another remove about the PlayStation 4 / Orbis has been circling recently. This new rumor suggests that Orbis will support OpenGL natively. “OpenGL is a layered API on the PS3,” source have told TheSixthAxis. “It’s much easier to use than LibGCM, which is the main PS3 system.”
Qore Comes to an End on the PlayStation Network

After almost four years of provided an innovative mix of quality HD video and interactive content covering over 160 new games, Qore comes to an end. Sony has announced that their long running US PSN Video magazine show is ending, with the April episode being the show’s finale.
PlayStation Plus Subscribers Will Get Access to Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

Releasing in May, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier not only promises an engaging single-player campaign, but bone-rattling battlefields to storm in multiplayer. PlayStation Plus subscribers will have first access to the multiplayer beta when it’s released on April 17th 2012.
Top PSN Sellers for March 2012

It’s pretty clear that March was a banner month for PlayStation Network. Escape Plan is on top spot on the PS Vita chart for the second month running, while the PSOne Classics chart is dominated by RPGs – four of which are Final Fantasy titles. Check out the PSP and PS Vita top titles below.
