Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus content subscribers can expect in May. Unfortunately, there will be no PSOne Classic title included in next month’s update, instead, you can get your hands on the PS2 Classic Max Payne. There are also a massive 17 new full game trials for you to try out too.

Scheduled PSN Maintenance Today

PSN maintenance is scheduled to take place today, 26th April 2012, from 16:00 until 23:00 BST. Unlike other downtime periods, this maintenance will not cause any disruption to game play however it is possible that there may be intermittent effects on a small number of users.
PlayStation Home 1.65 Update Arrives

PlayStation Home received a new update yesterday, bringing the client to version v1.65. The update brings improvements to speed and ease of use on the menu screen, graphical UI tweaks, clearer representation of furniture limits, and much more.

3D PlayStation Display Finally Available In Europe

Remember the official 3D Display released in North America last year? Well, Sony’s press release from this morning reveals that the 24″, 1080p 3D Display in now available in Europe. For its European release, the display is bundled with a couple of games – Platinum versions of Killzone 3 and Gran Turismo 5 as well as an HDMI cable and two pairs of rechargable 3D glasses.

Sony is looking for an intern to help with developing a voice recognition system. Since the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita don’t have a ‘voice recognition system’ then it’s a pretty safe assumption this can only be for a future PlayStation product (or indeed a future firmware update for either of the existing products).
LittleBigPlanet 2 Patch 1.12 Out This Week

Rumor Alert: PS4 / Orbis to Feature “Native” OpenGL

Another remove about the PlayStation 4 / Orbis has been circling recently. This new rumor suggests that Orbis will support OpenGL natively. “OpenGL is a layered API on the PS3,” source have told TheSixthAxis. “It’s much easier to use than LibGCM, which is the main PS3 system.”
