Final Fantasy VII fans will be happy to know that the game is making a comeback. It may not be the HD remake everyone is hoping for, but it’s still good news. A Square Enix-registered domain listed the PC version of game was available to download for £7.99 / €9.99. The site has since been taken down but Google cache still shows the contents of the site.

Sony has announced that the White PS3 is heading to Europe this morning. The new coloured console will be available in te UK from June 29th 2012, priced at £239.99. The white model will include a 320GB hard drive, two DualShock 3 controllers and 90 days of free PlayStation Plus access. However, GAME has exclusive rights to selling the console.
Modern Warfare 3 Collection 2 Now Available On PSN

The second collection for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now available to purchase from the PlayStation Store. The DLC includes three new multiplayer maps (also usable in Survival mode), two Special Ops missions, and two Face Off maps. The collection can be downloaded for $14.99 on the Store.

Despite Sony cancelling the PlayStation Network maintenance on Wednesday, the network still went offline unexpectedly last night, leaving many gamers frustrated. It also interfered with our LittleBigPlanet Beta Give-Away last night too. It seems that only some users experienced the issues, and it looks like the issues are still there this morning.
PS3 “BBC Sports App” Enters Public Beta

The new BBC Sports App for the PlayStation 3 is now available to download from the PlayStation Network, Sony have said. The app is currently in the public beta stage, but can be downloaded for free. The app is focused on the Olympics, but will offer content from Wimbledon and the F1 too.
Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD Getting 3D and PlayStation Move Support Next Week

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD will be getting a massive patch next week. The free update will add 3DTV support to the game as well as PlayStation Move compatibility. Amongst the other changes, the patch also adds YouTube uploading and a number of bugfixes.
EA’s Peter Moore Thinks All Games Will be Free-to-Play in 5 Years

Speaking in an interesting interview with Kotaku, the EA’s COO Peter Moore talks about microtransactions and how games will transform to use the free-to-play model in the next 5-10 years. He things that “microtransactions will be in every game, but the game itself or the access to the game will be free.”
Wheels of Destruction Gets Free New DLC

The first DLC for Wheels of Destruction has been announced, dubbed “Moscovian Mayhem,” and will be available to download for free. The DLC pack contains a new a new map of post-apocalyptic Moscow, where the players show their skills among the ruins of the Kremlin.
Amazon Lists God of War: Ascension Collector’s Edition

The US Amazon site has a listing for the unannounced God of War Ascension Collector’s Edition of the game. The collector’s edition is listed for $79.99 and includes lots of extras for the $20 difference in price compared to the standard edition, including a DLC pass for future content and a Kratos statue.
