With the sudden closure of Sony’s Liverpool studio, there are reports that two PlayStation 4 launch titles have been cancelled. The developers at Studio Liverpool were apparently working on WipEout and an unnamed stealth game for the PS4.

Inside Assassin’s Creed III: Episode One

Ubisoft has released the first episode of “Inside Assassin’s Creed III”, giving gamers an insight into how they are reinventing the series. The webseries will game players a closer look at the game as we near the game’s release date. The first episode is titled Making A Masterpiece, and takes a look at the game’s setting.
PS4 May Support 4K Resolution

4K is a resolution standard for several different resolutions in digital cinemas and computer graphics, roughly 4 times larger than 1080p HD resolution. Apparently, Sony is planning to launch its first 4K consumer device, the XBR LED TV as large at 80″ soon and there has been chatter that the PS4 will support this resolution.
Tomb Raider Screenshots

New screenshots for the upcoming Tomb Raider title have been released showing off the game in all it’s glory. Although the game isn’t out until next year, the screenshots taken from Gamescom show how good the title, and Lara, are looking.
PSN Maintenance Today in North America

The PlayStation Network will be undergoing downtime today as part of a scheduled maintenance window. The PSN will go offline at 5:00PM BST (10:00AM MDT / 11:00AM CDT / 12:00 noon EDT) and will last for approximately 7 hours, until 12:00AM midnight (5:00PM MDT / 6:00PM CDT / 7:00PM EDT).
Wonderbook: Diggs Nightcrawler Details Emerge

One of the lesser talked about titles on Wonderbook is Diggs Nightcrawler, a brand new IP promising quirky detective noir with style to spare. The game is about Diggs, a detective bookworm who is good at what he does – solving crimes. The developers, Moonbot, have made Diggs aware that he’s in a book.
Rockstar Releases Three More GTA V Images

Rockstar has released a further three images today for upcoming title Grand Theft Auto 5. The new images appear to depict leisure activites one could presumably partake in the game, showing dirt bikes, tennis and parachutes.
Sony Closing Liverpool Studio

Sony is to close down its Liverpool Studio, responsible for developing games like WipEout, as part of the company’s restructuring efforts. Sony acquired the developers back in 1993 to join Sony Wordwide Studios, but is looking to relocate relocate staff to other parts of the business.
Metal Gear Solid HD Titles Coming to PSN

As part of yesterday’s US PlayStation Store update, Konami have released Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD as separate downloadable titles from the PlayStation Store on both the PS3 and PS Vita. Konami has also confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will be available on the PS3 next week.
Max Payne 3 “Disorganised Crime” Coming Next Week

As mentioned earlier this month in the revised DLC schedule for Max Payne 3, Rockstar has confirmed that the “Disorganised Crime” will be released next week on all platforms. The DLC pack will be free to download, and including a multiplayer map, additional modifiers for Arcade Mode, and an all-new “Noir Mode”.
