This week, the PS3 will be getting a firmware update, updating the system software to version v4.30. The update brings with it the ability to view PS Vita trophies on the console, and relocates the [Trophy Collection] Icon on the XMB to reside under [PlayStation Network]. The new firmware update also removed the Life with PlayStation application.

New PlayStation Store Postponed in North America
The new PlayStation Store, expected to be released in North America this week, has been postponed following teething issues with other regions. The October 23rd launch of the new store in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil will be held back until further notice, while SCEA resolve the remaining issues with the store.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Beta Gameplay Footage
The PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Beta recently opened up to PlayStation Plus subscribers, and will be opening up to the public next week. We had the opportunity to record some direct stream footage of the game in action, showing just how fast paced the action in the game is.

Square-Enix and IO Interactive have released yet another trailer for upcoming shooter Hitman: Absolution, titled “Introducing Disguises”. The new trailer demonstrate how precision murder isn’t all about looking dapper in an expensive suit, but could involve putting on a big yellow chicken outfit, among many others.
The Last of Us Getting Comic Book Prequel
Back at New York Comic Con, Dark Horse Comics and Naughty Dog announced The Last of Us: American Dreams. The Last of Us: American Dreams is a four issue comic book series that peels back the layers on the early days of Ellie as it dives into her backstory. It will expose her personality and the motivations that drive her as it explores the first steps of the journey that leads to becoming the character we ultimately meet in the game.
LittleBigPlanet Karting “Story” Trailer Released
United Front Games have released a new trailer for LittleBigPlanet Karting, titled “Story”. The trailer gives you an insight into the Story for the upcoming game, which is set after the events of LittleBigPlanet 2. Sackboy’s new adventure involves chasing down otherworldly scavengers known as The Hoard.

SEGA Announces “Model 2 Collection”
SEGA has announced a “Model 2 Collection”, a series of classic arcade games to be released for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 in the next few months. The first three titles in the collection will be released this Autumn, and more will be release in 2013. The games will be straight ports of the original games, but will include online play.
Rockstar Reveal More Incoming Max Payne 3 DLC
Rockstar has revealed that Max Payne 3 will be getting more multiplayer DLC. The Hostage Negotiation Pack has been announced as next DLC pack, and will arrive at the end of this month. The pack will include four new multiplayer maps, a host of new weapons and items and a completely new avatar faction.
New PlayStation Store Experiencing Teething Issues
If you live in Europe but aren’t seeing the new PlayStation Store in your territory, don’t worry. Sony has postponed the launch of the new store in come territories after the roll-out yesterday didn’t go exactly as planned. “The phased launch of the new PlayStation Store has been temporarily postponed in some territories as teething issues related to the global roll-out of the Store are being addressed and resolved,” Sony said in a statement.
