The PS Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (QForce) is still in development, but the developers have had time to work on a new patch and free content, which will be releasing this week. The patch addresses many gamer requests and fixes some of the balance issues both online and in the campaign. In addition, the patch also adds new levels to the weapons.
Later this week, new PS3 and PS Vita title Knytt Underground joins the Instant Game Collection for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The game is set in the future, hundreds of years after the humans disappeared from the planet. Sprites, fairies and various other lifeforms roam tunnels underground. They are curious about their origin and the meaning of life, and to find those answers they try to understand the ones who had obviously figured it out; the humans.
The tenth Deal of Christmas on the European PlayStation Store gives gamers 50% off the The Unfinished Swan & Journey bundle. The game has been reduced from £19.98/€25.98 to £9.99/€12.99, and PlayStation Plus subscribers can get an additional 10% off, reducing the game further to £8.99/€11.69.
PlayStation Plus subscribers in North America will be getting a new game as part of the Instant Game Collection later today. PS3 title Anomaly Warzone Earth will be added to the Instant Game Collection today, which is action-strategy game where you are tasked with saving Earth from an alien onslaught.
A new patch for LittleBigPlanet 2 is now available, updating the game to version v1.20 and adding cross-controller compatibility to the game. The cross-controller DLC will be available to download from the PlayStation Store from today, allowing you to control Sackboy on the PS3 using your PS Vita.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II continues to dominate the UK sales Chart as we edge closer to the Christmas period. With just a few weeks to to until 2012 is over, Black Ops II looks likely to keep hold of the all-important top spot and become one of this year’s biggest selling games. In other movements, Hitman: Absolution has climbed right up from 6th to 2nd.
Sony has revealed that the Extended Director’s Cut of Total Recall on Blu-ray will include the E3 2012 God of War: Ascension single player demo when it releases. The Blu-ray movie will include a voucher code to download the demo from the PlayStation Store. Early access to the multiplayer beta has started, with PlayStation Plus members getting access early next month.
The 9th Deal of Christmas is available on the European PlayStation Store, giving gamers 50% off the latest LittleBigPlanet title. Sony has discounted the price of LittleBigPlanet Karting by 50%, reducing the game from £39.99/€49.99 to £19.99/€24.99. In addition, PlayStation Plus members can get an additional 10% off.
The Eighth Deal of Christmas is now available on the PlayStation Store, giving gamers a massive 60% off Need For Speed Most Wanted. The game has been reduced from £59.99/€69.99 to just £23.99/€29.99, but is only available for 48 hours, ending at midnight on December 16th 2012.
Originally slated for release on February 6th 2012, Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time has been delayed in Europe and without any particular reason too. The game will release in North America as planned in early February, but won’t see a European release until late March 2013. The game will be released on the PS3 and PS Vita, supporting cross-buy.
