Arriving later this month is the latest Metal Gear title, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Konami and Platinum Games have revealed that exclusive DLC VR missions will be coming to the PS3, adding 30 all-new missions to the game.
Sony have closed all connections with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale developers SuperBot Entertainment, it has been confirmed. The game failed at retail, despite receiving mainly positive reviews. It’s unclear how the game did on the PlayStation Store, however.
The XMB has become a common interface for Sony’s devices, first appearing on the PSX (in Japan) before becoming the standard OS on the PSP and PS3. Sony’s 2013 range of TV sets boast a new, revised version of the same interface.
Namco Bandai latest JRPG has entered the UK Games Chart in top position. Ni No Kuni debuts as the top selling title this week, pushing former No. 1 title Call of Duty: Black Ops II down to third place, while FIFA 13 stays steady in second.
Sony has released a teaser trailer for a big announcement on February 20th 2013. If this isn’t teasing the PS4, we don’t know what is. The trailer, titled #PlayStation2013, is for the 2013 PlayStation meeting being held in New York in a few weeks time. The hightly anticipated Grand Theft Auto V has been delayed according to Rockstar. Originally due for release this Spring, the open-world title has been pushed back to September 2013. In fact, Rockstar has revealed a firm release date for September, instead of just a release window.
Trion Worlds have announced the release date of open-world MMO shooter, Defiance, as well as releasing an all-new live action trailer. The game is tied to the TV show of the same name, debuting on the Syfy channel on April 15th 2013. Set in St. Louis, the series will chronicle the lives of humans and aliens in St. Louis.
January is almost over, but SCEA have one last update for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Adding to the list of free games already added to the Instant Game Collection this month, Sony will be adding Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus for the PS Vita in today’s store update.
