Sony Europe have announced that a new YouTube application will be available for the PS3 today. The application can be downloaded for free from the XMB in the [My Channels] section of the [TV / Video Services] menu. The app is “designed for the big screen and PS3 controls” and “has search tools to find videos faster and easier” says Sony.
Cross-play title When Vikings Attack! is getting new DLC next week, titled When Vikings Relax!. The DLC will be available from February 13th 2013 and will include new versus maps, a new single-player mode, new unlockable characters and six new trophies.
The release date for Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is rapidly approaching, but there’s still over a month and a half to do. You’ll be happy to know that a playable demo of the game will be available on the PlayStation Store from next week, letting you try out the game ahead of retail release.
An official trailer for upcoming title The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct has been released, showing more footage of the game. It’s got a lot to live up to thanks to the highly successful The Walking Dead series by Telltale Games. The game releases on the PS3 and Xbox 360 next month.
The latest chapter in the Ninja Gaiden series: Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge has been announced for the PS3, and is scheduled to launch in Stores and as a digital download in April 2013. The game is an enhanced version of Ninja Gaiden 3, and includes all downloadable content from the original title, as well as additional enhancements made to improve the game.
SCEA have released the top PSN downloads chart for January 2013, revealing a many re-entries thanks to the January sales. On the PS3, The Unfinished Swan takes the top spot followed by LittleBigPlanet Karting. On the PS Vita, newcomer Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable takes the top spot.
The download sizes for the PSN versions of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time have been revealed on the PlayStation Store as the game goes live in North America. If you’re planning to download the game instead of purchasing the retail version, be sure to have enough space on your hard disk. The PS3 version of the game weights in at a massive 18.9 GB.
The PAL PlayStation Store downloads chart has been released by Sony, and the top 10 PS3 list is full of new and old entries. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale re-enters the chart in fifth place, while Saints Row: The Third re-enters in top place. On the PSN Chart, newcomer The Cave enters the chart at number 2.
The fourth title in the Sly Cooper series is now available in North America, but wont be available in Europe until late next month – March 27th 2013 to be exact. The official launch trailer for the game has been release, which we have conveniently included for you below.
Sony has today announced a new special edition bundle for God of War: Ascension. Launching on March 15th, The God of War: Ascension PS3 bundle will include the Classic White 500 GB PlayStation 3 ‘Super Slim’ plus a bespoke God of War: Ascension Dualshock 3 controller, and a copy of the Special Edition of God of War: Ascension.
