The official PlayStation site reveals that the PS4 will come pre-loaded with The PlayRoom, which includes a number of minigames that make use of the PlayStation Camera and new DualShock 4 controller. However, since the game requires the PlayStation Camera, which isn’t bundled with the console, it won’t be playable unless you also pick up the peripheral.

LOVEFiLM Stopping Games Rental for New Customers
LOVEFiLM, the DVD, Blu-ray and Video game rental service operating in a number of European countries, will stop renting out games to customers. The Amazon owned company says new customers are no longer able to sign-up to the games rental service, but existing customers, already subscribed to the game rental service, will be able to rent games until further notice.
US PlayStation Store Update for July 2nd 2013
Lots of new content is available on the North American PlayStation Store this week, and it’s also the first Store update for July 2013. In addition to a number of new PS3 and PS Vita games, Battlefield 3 has also been added to the Instant Game Collection for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
LittleBigPlanet Hits 8 Million Levels
LittleBigPlanet has hit another huge milestone: 8 million user created levels, and still growing! The community has created more than 8 million levels in the five years since the game was released on the PS3, and later to the PS Vita. It’s taken the community just under a year to rack-up another million levels.
The Last of Us Tops UK Sales Chart Third Week Running
Naughty Dog’s PS3 exclusive The Last of Us continues to top the UK sales charts, making it three weeks in a row since the game’s release. The game is continuing to sell well, beating the new retail boxed edition of Minecraft and Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which has dropped to third place.

Mark Cerny’s talk about the “Road to PS4”, which took place at the Gamelab conference in Barcelona yesterday is now available to view on YouTube. In the talk, which was streamed live yesterday, Cerny talks about how the PlayStation platform has evolved over the years, and how the PS4 compares to the previous PlayStation consoles.
Puppeteer Demo Coming to Europe Soon
While Japan is getting a playable demo of Puppeteer next week, dubbed the ‘Rehearsal Edition’, Sony has revealed that a demo will also be coming to Europe too, but a release date is not yet known. The Rehearsal Edition isn’t a traditional game demo, according to Sony, and the gameplay actions in the demo have been limited to just umping and the scissors mechanic.
Sony Was Planning PS4 “Premium” Bundle with PS Camera and Knack
A recent leaked image of the content of the PS4 box reveals that Sony was planning to include the PlayStation Camera and Knack with the console, but was presumably removed prior to E3 to reduce the price of the console. The image reveals that the Blu-ray copy of Knack, the PS Camera and a vertical stand for the PS4 would have been included with the console, but would have likely cost an extra $100 to include – bringing the console in-line with the price of the Xbox One.
PS3 Firmware v4.46 Released
Sony have released PS3 System Software v4.46, which replaces the buggy v4.45 and lets those with bricked consoles get up and running again. In addition to fixing firmware v.45, the update also adds the ability to hide trophy notifications – a feature that was also included in firmware 4.45.
