The BBC reports that a film based on the Gran Turismo franchise is in development by Sony, with The Social Network and Fifty Shades of Grey producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti having been linked to the project. According to the article, Sony says the film is in development, but cannot provide “any further details about the movie or when it would be made.”

Sony’s Gamescom Press Conference Dated
Sony has confirmed their presence at Gamescom next month in Cologne, Germany, by revealing the date and time for their Press Conference. Sony’s press conference will take place a day before the the event, on August 20th 2013 at 7pm CET / 6pm BST. The conference will take place at the Staatenhaus am Rheinpark in Cologne, and is expected to be live-streamed.
PS4 vs PS3 Side-by-Side Comparison
PlayStation Access has kindly done a comparison between the PS4 and the launch PS3 console, to show you exactly how the two compare in size and shape. It’s pretty obvious that the PS4 is much smaller than the PS3, but this video clearly shows just how great the difference is. Now, all we need is a comparison with the PS3 Slim and PS3 “Super” Slim models.
Soul Calibur 2 HD Announced for PS3
Namco has revealed that it will be re-releasing PS2 title Soul Calibur 2 on current-gen consoles this year as Soul Calibur 2 HD. The game will include the PS2 exclusive character Heihachi Mishima from the Tekken series, and will feature improved graphics and online gameplay. The game was originally released on Xbox, PS2 and GameCube, each platform having it’s own exclusive character.
13-Minute Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Gameplay Video
UbiSoft have released a full 13-minutes gameplay video of their upcoming open-word title, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. The new video shows just how the graphics look, with game director Ashraf Ismail providing commentary through the video. The video also shows just how expansive the in-game world is, with over 50 locations around the Caribbean sea.
Saints Row IV Has Gone Gold, New Trailer and Season Pass Details Revealed
Deep Silver has announced that Saints Row IV has gone gold, while also revealing details about the game’s DLC season pass and a new trailer. The development of the game has been completed and on it’s way to manufacturers, ready for the August release date in North America and Europe. The DLC season pass can be pre-ordered at the discounted price of €9.99/£7.99.

Metal Slug XX Coming to Instant Game Collection Today in North America
Later today in North America, PSP title Metal Slug: XX joins the Instant Game Collection, allowing PlayStation Plus subscribers to download the title for free. This week is also the first week of the PlayStation Store’s PLAY promotion, with the release of Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark. The other three titles, coming at weekly intervals, are Cloudberry Kingdom, Ibb & Obb, and Duck Tales Remastered.
PS4 Gets FCC Approval in US
Engadget reports that Sony’s PlayStation 4 console has passed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the US, certifying that the console’s radio and wi-fi hardware is compliant in the States. The labels filed with the FCC indicate the final model number for the console is CUH-1001A, and that the console will have a maximum clock frequency of 2.75GHz – same as the dev kits.
