Sony’s home country, Japan, will be one of the last major markets to get their hands on the PS4, following confirmation on the PS4’s launch window in other Asian territories. The console will be launching in China, South Korea and Taiwan just a month after releasing in North America and Europe, while Japan will have to wait until February 2014.

GTA V Becomes Fastest Selling Game in the UK
Grand Theft Auto V has become the fastest selling videogame in UK history, it has been revealed, breaking the previous record set by Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops. The chart data shows GTA V sold a massive 1.57 million units across all platforms on it’s first day, compared with Call of Duty: Black Ops’ 1.41 million sales.
More Developers Confirm PS4’s Superior Speed
Following on from our earlier article regarding the PS4’s superior speed, more developers have come forward to report the same finding. Edge is reporting similar claims from “multiple high-level game development sources,” who describe the difference in performance between the consoles as “significant” and “obvious.”

Battlefield 4 Open Beta Starts in October
EA have revealed that an open beta for Battlefield 4 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC will launch in October, ahead of the game’s release on October 29th. In addition, the release dates for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game were also revealed, with the PS4 version available on November 12th in North America and November 29th in Europe.
European PlayStation Plus Titles Revealed for October
Sony Europe has revealed October’s PlayStation Plus titles, which includes Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3 (PS3), Capcom’s action RPG Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen (PS3) and Touch My Katamari (PS Vita), among others. You can also find discounts on various titles that will be updated throughout October.

Two new games join the Instant Game Collection in North America later today, along with discounts on various other titles to enjoy. ICO (PS3) and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (PSP/PS Vita) join the Instant Game Collection as part of today’s weekly PlayStation Store update, and you can get discounts on Sleeping Dogs, Kane & Lynch and Pixel Junk Monsters: Ultimate HD.
Rockstar Launches Grand Theft Auto Online Social Network
Rockstar Games has revealed their own social network, called Lifeinvader, which will tie into the upcoming online part of Grand Theft Auto V, which launches in October. The site ties in with your Rockstar Social Club and gives you a profile for your Grand Theft Auto Online character and allow you to connect with other players.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Next-Gen Trailer
Ubisoft have released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag which focuses specifically on the next-generation version of the game, showing the technical achievements you can find on the PS4 and Xbox One versions. One of the many improvements is dynamic foliage so it’s easier to see your character when you’re being stealthy.
GTA V Coming to PS4? Amazon.de Thinks So
Rockstar hasn’t clarified if GTA V is coming to next-gen consoles, but with less than a week to go until the official release, Amazon.de has listed the game for the PS4. The listing has since been taken down and now redirects to a 404 page, but the screenshot below confirms the listing and shows the PS4 box art for the game.
