Amazon has updated the LOVEFiLM application on PS3s in selected European countries to version v2.03, and making the application slightly easier to use. The application’s interface has been tweaked slightly to use a new orange colour scheme, and the icon has been updated from the old LOVEFiLM logo to a joint Amazon / LOVEFiLM icon.

Gran Turismo 6 Includes Legendary Bathurst Circuit
Gran Turismo 6 is right around the corner, and more details about the game are surfacing, including information about the game’s new tracks. In addition to featuring the infamous training ground of GT Academy, Silverstone Circuit, the game will also include the Bathurst Circuit in Australia.
Ratchet & Clank: Nexus Release Date Revealed
The release date for the next Ratchet & Clank title has been revealed by Sony. Ratchet & Clank: Nexus (or Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus as it’s known in North America) will be releasing on the PS3 this November for a price of €29.99 / $29.99. The game will be available both as a digital download and Blu-ray disc from retail stored from November 12th 2013 in North America, and November 13th in Europe.
Sony Planning Regular PS4 Shipments to Combat Shortages
Sony is planning to combat PS4 shortages in the UK by providing regular shipments of the console, with Sony UK Boss Fergal Gara suggesting a second wave of stock to arrive within days of the November 29th launch. Speaking with Eurogamer, Gara confirmed that “everybody who has pre-ordered to date will definitely get a console prior to Christmas. The cut-off date for that was 5th August.”
Watch the Beyond: Two Souls Premiere Live Tonight
Upcoming PS3 title BEYOND: Two Souls officially premieres later today at the Rex Cinema in central Paris, with fans able to watch the event via live stream from 8.00pm BST/9.00pm CET this evening. The event will begin with an exclusive 30 minute screening of footage from the game in the 2,000-plus seater cinema, followed by a panel discussion featuring writer/director David Cage, cast members Ellen Page, Willem Dafoe and Kadeem Hardison, and soundtrack composer Lorne Balfe.
Destiny Beta Confirmed in New Trailer
Following the release of Destiny’s official box art yesterday, a new trailer for the game has been released containing information on how to access the Destiny beta. As mentioned previously, you’ll be able to access the beta by pre-ordering the game, and this is confirmed in the new trailer below. Beta access will only be available from selected retailers, so be sure to look out for the “Beta” logo when pre-ordering the game.
PS3 Firmware v4.50 Launching Today
Later today, the next system software update for PS3, version 4.50, will be available, and includes some great features and improvements to make downloading system updates and Web Store purchases more convenient for all PSN users. Wi-fi data transfer has also been added to make it easier to move games, movies and other content between your PS3 and PS Vita.
rain Launch Trailer Released
PSN title rain arrives on the PlayStation Store today in North America and tomorrow in Europe. To celebrate, the launch trailer for the game has been released. In addition, the game’s full soundtrack will be available to purchase on the PlayStation Store too. The full soundtrack for rain, featuring the enchanting music created by composer Yugo Kanno and the gifted singer Connie Talbot, will be available to purchase for €7.49/£5.99.
GTA Online Launches Today, New Details Revealed
The online component to Grand Theft Auto 5 launches today, and with it comes new details from Rockstar Games. Rockstar have revealed a whole host of new details for the free multiplayer expansion, GTA Online. A free patch is available to enable the GTA Online, and you should be able to directly access the Online world from GTA V’s main menu.
Killzone: Shadow Fall Digital Download is 50GB
Sony UK boss, Fergal Gara, has revealed that Guerrilla Games’ Killzone: Shadow Fall on the PS4 is around 50GB in size, but it working on “big innovations” to make games like this easier to download. The PS4 makes use of “Play as you Download” functionality, meaning you can start playing the game without having to download the entire game first.
