Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Announced, Releasing in October 2015

Remember the leak of the next Assassin’s Creed title back in December 2014? Ubisoft has officially announced that the game will be called Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, and will be set in London during the Industrial Revolution. And it will be releasing on the PS4 this October.
PS4 Gets Exclusive Final Fantasy X/X-2 Dynamic Themes

To celebrate the release of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster on the PS4 this week, Square Enix has released two dynamic themes for fans of the game to enjoy. The two themes, titled To Zanarkand and Blitzball, are available to download exclusively for the PS4 for £1.69/€1.99.
Ubisoft to Stop Developing for PS3 and Xbox 360

Ubisoft has announced that the company will stop developing for last-gen consoles. The news was revealed by CEO Yves Guillemot in an earnings call yesterday. Guillemot confirmed that products like Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six, The Division and unannounced games, will not get betting PS3 or Xbox 360 versions.

SCEE has released the chart for the top selling PlayStation Store games in April 2015. On the PS4, Mortal Kombat X debuted on top, followed by Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition. Last month’s top title, Bloodborne, was pushed down to third place.
PSN Maintenance Scheduled for May 11th / 12th 2015

The PlayStation Network will be going offline for scheduled maintenances early next week for a total of nine and a half hours. The maintenance window begins at 2:30 AM GMT / 7:30 PM PDT on Monday, 11th May 2015, and finish at 12:00 PM GMT / May 12, 5:00 AM PDT on Tuesday, 12th May 2015.

Following Sony’s financial report showing 22.3 million PS4 sold worldwide, it has also emerged that Sony has sold 2 million consoles since launch. It took just 19 months for the console to reach 2 million units, reaching the milestone quicker than the PS2.
