September 2015 saw many new big games released on the PS4 and PS3, so last month’s top selling PlayStation Store chart comes as no surprise. On the PS4 and PS3, Destiny: The Taken King was the top selling title according to SCEE, followed by FIFA 16 in second on both consoles.

PlayStation Now Subscription Service Now Available in UK

After a successful beta test of PlayStation Now in the UK a few months back, the service is ready to move to the next step. The pricing has changed for games, and you are now able to get unlimited access to 100 PlayStation games for a low price of £12.99 per month.
PSN Maintenance Scheduled for October 13th / 14th 2015

Sony has announced that maintenance is scheduled to take place next week for approximately 2 hours. The PlayStation Network and associated services will be unavailable between 04:30 GMT to 06:30 GMT on October 14th 2015. In North America, this maintenance window falls on October 13th 2015, between 21:30 PDT to October 13, 23:30 PDT.
PS4 Gets Price Cut in North America

In time for Christmas, Sony has announced a price cut in North America effective from tomorrow. In the US and Canada from October 9th 2015, you will now be able to pick up the PS4 at the new price of $349.99 USD / $429.99 CAD (MSRP) – a reduction of $50 in the US, and $20 in Canada. It’s unclear if the price of the PS4 will also be reduced in other territories.
Rocket League Getting Free Halloween Content This Month

Psyonix has announced that it is releasing some free downloadable content for Rocket League, though it will be time-limited, and only available to unlock between October 18th until November 2nd 2015. The Halloween themed content includes items that can be used to customise your car, and can be earned from playing matches regardless if you win or lose the fixture. Once November 2nd passes the items will be locked out until next year.
PlayStation Plus Line-up for October 2015 Revealed

Sony has announced October’s PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection, with Broken Age and Super Meat Boy leading the line-up. Six new games will be available from October 6th 2015 in both North America and Europe. Sony has also revealed that DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus edition will be leaving PlayStation Plus when this update goes live, so be sure to grab it before it’s gone.
PS4 Firmware 3.00 Available Tomorrow

Sony has announced that PS4 Firmware 3.00, codenamed Kenshin, will be publicly available tomorrow. Until now, this major firmware update has been undergoing private beta testing by thousands of users around the world (and we’ve been involved too). The firmware update focuses on enhancing the PS4’s social features, adding in Events, Communities and enhancements to Sharing, including YouTube Live Streaming and Twitter Video Sharing.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III Limited Edition 1TB PS4 Announced

Sony and Activision has announced a Call of Duty: Black Ops III Limited Edition PS4 console, that will be available on 6th November 2015, when the game launches. The system features the Call of Duty: Black Ops III ember orange logo on a Jet Black chassis, complete with coloured power and eject buttons, as well as three emblems from the game.
Destiny: The Taken King Breaks Day-One PSN Records

Activision and Bungie have announced that Destiny: The Taken King has become the most downloaded video game on day-one in PlayStation history. Unfortunately, no hard numbers were released so it’s difficult to say just how many digital copies were sold. The original Destiny game also broke numerous records last year, but again, no numbers were ever released.
New Rocket League DLC Coming in October

Psyonix has revealed that new DLC will be heading to the game this October. The DLC, titled Revenge of the Battle-Cars, will include more customisations and two classic Battle-Cards from SARPBC. The DLC will be available for €3.99/£3.29 from the PlayStation Store in the next few weeks. Some freebies will also be added to the game, including two new arena variations and more community and country flags.
